During one job interview, I was ever questioned with such a question: Imagine you have been in a dessert for ten days alone, then four things suddenly are here for you to choose: a navigation map, food, water, and a camel. Which one would you choose and why? (You are only allowed to choose one.) I chose the camel. My reasons are: since I have lived for ten days in the dessert alone, it proves that I have possessed the basic ability to live in the dessert temporarily. In other ways, I could find food and water for living. Therefore, I do not choose water or food. Besides, we know that camels are the boats in dessert. So, it can play the role the navigation map would do and help me out of the dessert. And what's more, the camel is also expected to assist me to find water source during my journey. How about you?
Its a good question. I think I would also choose a camel and your reasoning seems appropriate but the other options might have a better reasoning according to someone else. Were you informed about the best option afterwards?
This question is always same in every job interview and i fed up of doing interview so i am open my own office so in future no more such fullish question and answer. Anyway my answer is i prefer navigation system and why because it give me proper idea to select all other things with the help of navigation map.
Wait so you are opening your own office just to avoid getting asked that question? Anyway, I choose water, but I would probably be dead by then anyway so it doesn't really matter, lol. -Danielle
Its either the camel or the water? I think i would have choose Water to make sure you live long enough to get out of what you are facing Have heard of people lasting 10-14 days without food if you have sufficient fat stores on your body so water is more important The camel may have enough water to survive 4-5 days but how do you know it will head in the right direction without just going in circles as they are just animals There is no guarantee the camel will be able to find a water source You could pass out or die before you find water or camel takes you to help No water makes people go crazy and get sick quickly, get more disorientated and make bad decisions This is what i would do: Only Sip that water and make it last as long as possible. Save your energy and try to seek shelter during the hottest part of the day Walk during the coolest hours of the day which is prob night You can navigate using the sun and stars/ or any environment landmarks to keep heading in the one direction Then just pray to your god someone finds you or you stumble across people or town There by giving yourself the best shot at survival by choosing water BUT However if you had some plastic - you would pick the camel and use the plastic to catch water off plants or extract moisture overnight while you sleep. Thats probably the best chance.
I choose food because you can last a very long time with food. You can carry food with you to give you strength to find shelter, work hard to build a shelter and there is always a percentage of water in food. Common sense can be used to navigate your way out of the desert by observing the sun rising and falling. Also, travelling at night you can follow the stars and you would not be so dehydrated.
I am going with water, becaz we cant live without water for single day in desert. i think you are never saw desert.
I'd have to agree Camels are smart creatures, they would die in the desert if they werent. It will find you someplace to rest and someplace to get water.
I say the Camel because I could drink all its water that it holds in its body then I would cook and eat it!
