Help with traffic!!

Well, I started a blog about a month ago, and I receive probably 50-100 unique visitors per day. My problem is, I want to reach way more than that! I completely understand this takes work! But maybe I'm going about it the wrong way? I'm not really sure. I would love to get some help or opinions.

So far what I've been doing is promoting my blog via BlogCatalog/LinkReferral/Blog Commenting/ Social Bookmarking. It seems as to that's what is getting me where I'm at right now. I've also posted 3-5 articles on GoArticles that received around 4-5 plugs each.

My problem with Articles is that I'm not that GREAT of an article writer. I'm really looking for some free ways to help gain more traffic to my site. Not those auto-surf programs either. Could anyone further assist me or tell me if what I've been doing so far is a complete waste? I appreciate any help possible.

    Thank you.

    1. On page optimization - link your articles to your other articles.. cross linking
    2. submit articles to article directories
    3. signature your link in dofollow forums (below)
    3. learn more about SEO for longterm traffic

Where would you advise me learning more about SEO for long term traffic? Any specific sites you can recommend? Thank you for the Do Follow forums you posted. Also, I'm not great at writing articles, does this mean it's pointless for me to do them since I can't afford a writer at this point?

Thank you everyone for the help!

EDIT: Also, does people commenting on your blog help at all with some things? Figured I'd ask.

One month is a very short time period in the webmaster world so 50-100 a day is actually pretty good.

Quality Backlinks and More Time ;)
