Starting out with Adsense

Hi as you can see i'm new here and i never used adsense (but can tell how it works.. at least the basics...) but i will in the future.
But as first i would need some good guides that are worth checking out (i alredy checked the FAQ section found some pretty neat guides) but still not sure how will i bring much traffic to my site..

I want to ask if does anyone have lists such as Most paid Keyword and Most searched Keyword lists. I've spotted few lists here that have been posted but lost them... can someone please repost them. (or post the source link)

    Thnks!!!

I'm new here as well and have been doing quite a bit of reading and searching on various topics related to AdSense, keywords and bringing traffic to your site. While I am not sure which lists you may have seen, here are two sites that I have been using to get a feel for the keywords being searched:

    http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/
    http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

I haven't really seen a list of the most paid keywords, although I did come across a suggestion to use AdWords to bid on keywords to get a feel for the going prices. If I come across any other lists, I'll be sure to share them.

Also, I would recommend checking the adsense blog while you are at it.

Aiming for the top paying keywords and searches isn't all that easy, simply too competitive. The best way is to find a good niche with high searches and less competitive

Simply targeting keywords will not help improve chances of gainin traffic.

However, finding a niche that you excel in will vastly improve your chances of picking up and retaining regular traffic.

There are already some tools mentioned that can help you find a niche, and there are many directories listed that can help you get incoming links to help the spidering of your site.

However, if you have identified your niche, you should be aware of the main places people go to find information, and depending on how that site is setup will determine how you could try to gain traffic.

Overall, if you are planning on using adsense for income you need to make sure you stay within the terms of service and this also means not using any artificial method to boost your site visitors (autosurf, paid-to-surf programmes etc). It will only result in your account getting disabled.

Remember, adsense is for the long term and not a short term get rich quick scheme.
