Hey, Is it possible to accept credit card payments on my website through my paypal account with out the customer having to register on paypal? I have seen those fancy "buy now" paypal buttons which websites employ and I wanted to use the same. But does that service require the customer to register with paypal or can he simply key in the cc details and its done? Please elaborate if possible on the procedure. All helpful replies appreciated. Thanks
Only users from certain countries can accept direct credit card payments or at least that's what I've been told by paypal when I emailed them about this. I don't know which are these countries, I just know mine isn't on the list.
Of course you need to have a Paypal account in order to accept the credit card payment. After you have a Paypal account, you can then easily create such a Buy it Now button that accept CC.
If the following country allow paypal than they can pay you via Paypal button. No, they dont have to register.. they just have to fill the form.

Well, of course you can accept credit cards through PayPal. When redirected to the payment page, they have an option shown that they can pay with a credit card if they do not have a PayPal (or wish to not use one). Although it's annoying they ask you to create a PayPal account after the payment is completed, to make purchases quicker but is simple to click No Thank You. You need a Business/Premier account, I don't think Personal accounts are accepted, but I do remember it being last time I accepted a payment from a credit card on my personal PayPal account. You'd have to verify that with PayPal.

you have to have a Premier or Business Paypal account to accept credit cards payments. on the other hand you need to cheek out that is your country is in their list or not.
