Saw this on CNN. I'm a trombone player so I was happy to see Glenn Miller on the list. hxxp://www.cnn.com/2009/LIVING/08/20/mf.fortune.depression/index.html
Depression does not mean there is less money, but rather the money gets unevenly distributed. An awful lot of people have made it when millions others have starved.
Exactly! Although there is a substantial amount less money now, that money is buying different goods, known as inferior goods. An economist would say that the best way to profit during these times is to create these inferior goods of a poorer quality, because there is a greater demand for them. Getting rich now is no harder than it was, you just have to approach it differently and see that people are spending their money in other places, then cater to their needs. ( Fingers crossed on the results of my AS-Economics exam )
Well said Hecky, In an economic downturn we just have to use more "out of the box" thinking to have the same results. I'm not rich by any means, but I'm not really personally feeling the effects of the bad economy either
u have plenty spare cash, depression is the best time to purchase/invest .... Less money, more value and it apply to any trading
Inspiring. A lot of people are struggling right now, but it's motivation to just work harder. 2010 should pick up again for more people
