It seems reporting is directly affecting my sales. Everytime I have an issue with the reports on CB I quit making sales. This is crazy had very hard to understand. I have now gone for the past three days with no sales. It seems as if i stuck in a rut? Is anyone else having this issue?
Dude, I went 5 -7 days without making a sale. But I was always able to bring my sales back up with hard work. Change your marketing methods. Work harder. Perform actions that give you a long term stream of income, not quick hits here and there. And make sure that you are always promoting good products.
I haven't had a sale for over 30 days with my free advertising methods and I don't think clickbank is up to something either like I keep hearing. Mike
CB just sucks right now... I went from 500 to 600 dollar weeks ti a sale a day which may range from 50 to 100 per week... It's just like i have been set up for a single sale a day only or something
I've read alot of complaints on forums about Clickbank possibly shaving sales. I think this is rediculous. They would be killing their business with this approach. I do however believe there are a number of technical issues that plague Clickbank from time to time. The best thing you can do is investigate your campaigns do research and send emails to both vendor and clickbank to help them sort out some of the technical issues they may be experiencing. Complaining in Forums does no good! There is no one here who can see what's going on on the technical side of things. I have experienced many down cycles with clickbank that were clearly not normal sales fluctuation. The only thing that helped me was emailing an intelligent well thought out email to clickbank.
They do shave to an extent, it's pretty widely known that they do. I've even heard it talked about on another Marketing forum by an ex CB employee. If CB themselves are struggling, then it's affiliates will normally take a hit right along with them. regards
CB is always up and down. Either quit using them or just get use to it. I've had months where I did great then months where I'd do nothing even though I kept marketing daily. My personal opinion is clickbank is screwed up. They either takes sales or the sales don't get credited right take your pick. I'm a numbers man and numbers never lie. Its not normal to go from a sale every 30 hops to a sales every 400 hops.
As a vendor of a membership site i can tell you that CB does not shave sales. if they would shave sales from me i would have seen new members in my website with no money credit to my account and that never happened. However i do get some complaints every once in a while from people who say they are unable to purchase via their credit card, and i am guessing that for every email of that type that i got their are at least 10 other people who were unable to purchase and did not bother contacting me. You also need to consider that credit cards the have been used for chargebacks have been blackflagged on CB and repeat users who did a chargeback in the passed are unable to purchase again using the same card (and maybe it's good that they can't)
Yep same with me with clickbank, good sales one day than bad sales the next with the same number of hops. You also have to remember that a lot of people promote clickbank products and the product your promoting their's another person also promoting the same thing. So lets say that you get the hop from your link, but they still are not convinced, they go to an affiliate competitor's page and they get the sale through there hop seeing that they are promoting the same thing it seems like the only solution and thus they get the sale. I think that's why when your promoting something from a different network (like yottacash or paydotcom) sales are consistent because there not as many more competitors (same network) to overwrite the cookie your link left. Of course this is all theory.
I personally think cb are not shaving sales that is bs in my opinion, I think it is all techincal issues with clickbanks tracking and payment methods. Clickbank has unexplainable drops and increases in sales but there are a lot of factors involved
I think you would probably try a new niche because money making niche is GETTING OLD I am into energy-saving affiliate i get 100$\ Week from that !!
The original post was not to say they had done anything wrong. It was to imply something wasn't right which may or may not be on the CB side. The whole thing is based on one fact that I have. I created a way to generate a sale a day which I thought was great. It would have only super great if you could do this twice right? Sure it would have been. I have tryed all the same processes to generate more then one sale per day and can not make it happen. This make'sall of this questionable. And no befroe you go crazy on me about products. I have promoted and still promote all 20k plus products CB has to offer. I could make them rich alone with myself with ease if somethign would not be wrong
You're right. CB isn't consistent at ALL. That's why I got the hell off the CB boat to leave it to the PPC boys and started carving out tracks in the CPA world. I made $43 yesterday from an hours work of setting up a 5 minute lander and about 4 articles, it took me about 2 weeks of promoting a site to do that for a CB product and in the end the sale came through my PPC funnel (which I set up on the same day). CB + Free? Not for me. That's not to say there aren't those who make it work for example Peter Hols.
Off course they have issues, last tow weeks they register just sales from outside US, which very rare I had previously....makes me wonder....
as per my exprience cb is really good. and it's may be your marketing problem or what ever. Email them about your problem and after that the next formula pick up your marketing technology. I am sure you get get success again soon.
Thats how CB goes ups and downs. You're not going to have consistent sales unless you are on the front page of serps for HOT keywords the ones that get 1000's of searches a day. If you are using organic traffic then relax you're ROI should be Awesome, continue doing what you're doing and then some. You're sales will pick up again. If using PPC then yeah there may be a reason to stress a little or change things up. CB is way to BIG and has to good of a Rep to be cheating affiliates out of sales....IMO....CB has made me good and easy money.
Not necessarily - it depends on how much traffic you are sending. It is perfectly within the realm of statistical variation to see 4 sales one day and 0 for the next two days. If you averaged 20 sales a day and then it went to 0, that might be significant. The problem is most affiliates only make a few sales per day, so it's tough to conclude it's CB's problem and not just a matter of variation of conversions.
Clickbank was always unreliable for me, but also I am sure they don't cheat. If they cheated there would be members that are part of sites which you never received payment for. Also their affiliate link leaves a tracking cookie each time which is handled the same way every single load..
