Hi there I need help with my website and want to improve it. http://www.dmaireroa.com/ Is it better to build it with CMS? I was thinking of adding a blog to my site, what do you think? What I want to do also is, update my work-page http://www.dmaireroa.com/work.php by having a limited website project on that page, like 5 thumbnails displayed at a time and have a number navigation at the bottom, similar to wordpress. So every time I finish a new project, then I can add it to the work-page but when you click on the thumbnails, I want it to go to another page and have the full details with a comments box for the user who wishes to leave a comment, like wordpress. Will wordpress be a solution for just that page or is it better to do the whole website? Many thanks in advance CHEERS
It is better that you port you entire website to a CMS If you want, we provide this services at the most economical rates with excellent quality We also have tie ups with indiatimes.com if you want some development done thru them Please visit our website fortubiz.com for further details Shuchi cookfoodrecipes.com
I think wordpress will just work fine with your site requirement. It is fully customizable and with a lot plugins to enhance your site's functionality including seo.
I would agree with Sakto on Wordpress. For a more professional appearance, try going with something like Joomla for your main website and add Wordpress to a subdirectory or subdomain for your blog.
Is Joomla hard to use? If its like wordpress then I can definitely learn it . There are so many out there; Joomla, Drupal etc. I just can't pick which one does what .
Hey guys, I managed to add a cms to my website and a blog using wordpress. I am so happy with result but will gradually progress. For proof, I was using php for my site http://www.dmaireroa.com/service.php but since I'm using a cms, it is now showing this http://www.dmaireroa.com/?page=service-print. I also added my first blog post, check it out and tell me what you think http://www.dmaireroa.com/blog/ Sweet!! Happy days, happy days
It is still using a cms, what's the difference between your site and my one http://www.dmaireroa.com?
1. Clean URL ( no trailling ?sdfsf=page or something else) 2. more friendly 404 3. Having search menu
Well first of all, I don't even know how to use drupal, and secondly it took a while to learn the cms application that I'm using. Quite happy with the cms application that I'm already using .
