Hey All - I recently got started with Adsense on my website and think it will be a very useful addition for me..please help answer a few questions i have (i have been browing the forum alot lately looking for these answers).. 1) Is there any way to remove the thin white border around the content adsense ads so that its completely blended in with the color of your background? 2) When i use the Google Adsense Preview tool on my own website with content ads, will the preview tool display all the ads that will ever display on my page against the region i am in, or will it only display partial amounts of these ads? - Reason being because i would like to url block some competitor ads of my same region that are showing in the adverts 3) Probably the most important for a newbie to Adsense, how can i preview my website ads without breaking ANY TOS??? - I would like to make sure that if i view my site it doesnt break TOS, i would never click on my own ads so that shouldnt be a problem - But knowing how to block or not be able to click ads would be even better 4) What are the Channels used for? - And does Google Automatically choose what ads they will place on your Webpage according to you article/content? or can you control what viewers will see in terms of ads? I have a joomla website running - Here is a link to my most popular page, please advise how i can better my ads in any way and i will try different ways....i have used this forum as a general guide on my content ads - EG blending it in with contents, using a reasonable size ad but not making it look out of place etc etc... Forgot to add that my site has only just been up and running - And MUCH MORE content is to follow shortly - That one guide seems to be hitting around ~100 hits per day...
1. change the border color of your ads to the background color of your web page 2. it depends; your site is new so... you might have to wait; advertisers change periodically 3. disable java script in your browser; this way the ads won't appear anymore; you'll only see plain html content; looking at your own ads does not brake tos 4. the service you are using is called AdSense for content so your content is key to what kind of ads are displayed; you can control your ads by controlling your content; is that simple. I suggest you go to Google page and read all the help for adsense; you can not make money with it if you don't know how it works. Blending your ads too much and placing them inside your content at the same time might make users to mistake your ads for your content; and Google doesn't like that. so be carefull with blending
Thanks - So just to get this Striaght, it is not Breach TOS for looking at my Adsense Articles? only if i click on the articles am i breaching TOS?...i always thought refreshing our page would be a breach (ie when refreshing the page to make a change and view it) Also How many Content Ads can i use within the One article??? You can look at your pages how often you want as long as you don't click the ads. You might not want to do that though since, if you have low traffic this might lower your ecpm and cpc. So look at your page once a day if you need to check out the AdSense ads placement, but for other reasons you might want to use a different browser with java script disabled. This is a good advice for a beginner. So follow it.
