It's not a must, it's a critical element. So do your research about it, to make sure you do it right.

Do you know what a landing page is???

You can't sell anything without one, be it your site, or if you direct potential customers to the online stores' home pages (landing pages).

Yes, landing page is a must, if you are serious in your business and want to leave a decent amount of money on the table. But only professional landing page can help you build your own list and market your products/services.

Landing Pages are CRITICAL to your ad campaigns. Find a good A/B program and design a few landing pages with a few different calls to action. You will be surprised how much the variance in conversion will be. Most A/B programs utilize the same logic that Adwords does in serving the best performing ad (or in this case landing page).

    HTH.

Yes, landing pages plays a vital role in PPC campaigns as this is the page through which your potential visitor will land up on your site so it should be very much relevant to your link text you are displaying in your ad. For example your link text (
in your ppc ad) talks about a specific model of your product but the link takes the visitor to a category page of that model where you need to search the same model you are displaying in your add so you should link it to that product model page only.

    Hope this helps!

Landing Pages are common in internet marketing campaigns, especially email and PPC marketing management. Aside from optimizing for user action, Landing Pages can make it easier to track/analyze visitor actions, and modify as required. So the key aim of a Landing Page is to optimize the user experience when visiting a site, especially for the first time. This in itself is a good reason to apply them in SEO. After all, there's little point aiming to rank if you fail to convert.

    1. The best way to get recognition for providing valuable information is to have your own web page (landing page). Sending people directly to an affiliate page leaves them dissatisfied that they clicked only to get a sales pitch.

    2. Put quality content on your landing page - valuable information that the person was searching for when they clicked your ad. They'll love you for it.

    3. Set up an auto responder form to capture their contact info so you can pitch to them later. Give away something of value to get them to sign up - an ebook, a free course, videos or other product they can really benefit from.

Yes, you need a landing page - to capture names mostly, but also to provide something worthwhile for people who click your ads and links.

It is very hard to sell anything online as an affiliate or the owner of a product without a good sales page explaining honest benefits of a product or service.

Yes, even as an affiliate, you still have to "sell" your visitors on the benefits of clicking on your affiliate link. You can use your landing pages in that manner to pre-sell your prospects and get them curious about the product you're promoting.
