    Depending on where your link is sometimes it does get credit for a back link.
    Depends on the Social Bookmarking
    site.

    digg and delicious are with nofollow links... try using forum signatures, they do give follow links. I don't think any major social media site gives followed link

    I think that's only for certain links, like in your profile or something. Because, at least with Digg, Google always indexes my bookmarks.

    I think both provides quality backlinks.. They are one of the sites listed as a do follow social bookmarking in most lists I have seen.. I also did bookmark my site through both sites and I was able to receive backlinks from them.. I think both works.. :)

    Most of the social bookmarks consider as a no follow. Like Digg etc but yes they are very useful in term of providing traffic.

    I agree with anisbd and gainerguru. If you want see backlinks on your site you must use dofollow sites :)

    I think digg is dofollow. Any dofollow social bookmarking website with crawlable pages passes the link juice.
