They will tell you God has always been. Did you think they would tell you Joe the mechanic made God or anything other than "he always existed"?
lol, I just thought at least one of them would have a more logical reason than he's been there forever.
That question can be answered in so many ways. Unfortunately just commenting on it gives the impression that someone knows something that another person doesn't, or anyone even talking about the issue invites mockery and bigotry in every possible way. Personally, from my standpoint, God always was, and always will be. God needs no explanation nor anyone to back Him up, but He invites people to know him through Jesus. Yes you can all mock now, thats nothing new to me. I'm not Jehovah's Witness, nor Mormon, nor Christian Science, nor Christianadelphism, nor Universalism, or whatever. I'm a simple Christian who believes that Jesus is the Son of God, is God the Son, was put on a cross, died, and on the 3rd day rose from the grave. Was the only one to defeat death. So who created God? No one. There's none greater than God. Go ahead and argue, but i will not respond, because I was just looking to give my answer, not start a debate =), there's plenty of other treads on here which are doing that.
As a simple Christian, what do you think God would think of your using the image of a of a child pedophile as your avatar? I am just curious the thinking that goes into picking something like that to represent yourself on this forum? I am sure you just think the show is funny, but I don't get why someone would pick that to use. Maybe it is just me, but I find it odd.
I have a perspective. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, right? It just always existed. The same thing with God.
it depends, on what god, as we all know, there are many gods created by human beings, either as physical, visible idol, or just a thought, but at all times, God who created human beings is one, and there is nothing like him, and he is uncreated, so the question itself is invalid, it is like watching a beautiful paint, and ask who painted it, the answer would be, the painter, then someone too smart maybe would say, if it is true that the painter painted it, then who painted the painter? like watching puppets theater, someone would ask, who is moving them, another would say, the puppeteer, a third would ask, if that is true, then who is moving the puppeteer. God is uncreated, he existed, and you can't tell when, because he existed before time, which is also one of his creatures, and you can't tell where, because he existed before space, which is also one of his creatures, so how can we know God? how can we describe him? how can we see him? is same like asking what is the biggest number? please count from 1 to the biggest number ever, is the biggest number less or more than 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000? the question itself is invalid here too, but we know, for every big number there is a bigger number, if you do not believe this, I can't force you to believe, I can only tell you, then keep counting.
i will answer your question if you answered my question who created you and your father and your grand father , ..................... , etc
LOL. Very good According to the way believers of all religions see god, it is as an entity that has many psychiatric problems, but absurdly they don't see it. I wouldn't trust god to be a pizza delivery boy. Anybody needs examples for god's lunacy in the eyes of the believers? let me know
Which ever answer the religious give to rationalise their invisible sky daddy fantasy it will essentially be "he is magic"
Hence when something goes to total shit beyond the "Oh My God!" exclamation they scream "MOTHER OF GOD!" in hopes that God's mother punishes him? But then, that would mean more than one God, and would invalidate all monotheist religions. Again, pagans win-out in the whole "Our religion is awesomer than yours" arguement. I mean, Hercules. Motherf**King Hercules, taking names and droppin foos like they was muppets. He was five Tarantino films wrapped up in one, a mushroom cloud layin motherf**ker, motherf**ker! No one messed with him for very long, and he even freed Prometheus - a Titan (creators of the Gods). Yeah. That and a box of popcorn, along with it being more than someone's individual or collective reality built on stories would be enough to entertain me for years. But then, back to a rational P.O.V. we're all fish, and so are the bids, and the lizards, and the frogs, and even the dogs. Everything is just a modified fish that took some 450 million years to reach today, and not through any design, but simply through generation by generation modification. Being unable to comprehend it fully is not the fault of anyone's but those who fail to grasp the concept. But fail they do, and cling they do to their stories. A world run by lunatics and nursery rhymes. I'm sure you meant to visit a different star, a different planet, surly not us backwood rejects out on the edge of the galaxy. Fly fly little butterfly, on to the worlds back toward the metro in the center of our spilling Milky Way, little green munchkins and grays.
The idea of a personal god or a god with a personality judging the actions of every individual could only have been conjured by weak and uninquisitive minds. Freethenoob is probably right about opium being an influence.
No body exactly know... Only God know... It's like this, many species on this planet earth has never been yet discovered and maybe by next year or maybe on the coming decade, they may or might discover an astonishing discovery. Well in our case, regarding how God was created we will know it once we die and see him face to face and thats the time to ask him.
Exe I respect all opinions except for the opinions of extremists. As far as god being personal or not if he has the power to set this all in motion then he also has the power to manifest himself to anyone he wants in any form he wants. This is why I try to respect the beliefs of all. Its allready been shown that there are extremists in every belief system whether its christian, muslim, hindus, budhists and atheists. One example of an atheist extremist is chris hitchens who writes from pure hatred and little fact. Extremists exist everywhere. Instead of dealing with this why cant we all focus on what we all share in common. Respect for your fellow man, the brotherhood of man, love, charity?
I'd have far more pressing questions to ask god if I ever met him. Questions like why is it importent to mutilate childrens genitals? What's wrong with pork? Why did he make gay people if he hates them? Why does he let the most repulsive people reprisent him down here. And most importantly, if the universe is 6000 years old and all animals were created as they mow appear why did he go out of his way to deliberately plant a mountain of evidence that suggests the universe is billions of years old and animals evolved? After he had failed to give adequate answers to those questions I might ask him who his daddy is, which, after pwning him would probably be me.
Since God did not talk about this in the Bible, then we have no way of knowing it. After all, God owes no one an explanation. Remember how He answered Job?
