Hello, Not so long ago I came to a good idea for a website, but I am very new in the section of marketing. Without telling to much details, the website is about consumers (normal people) getting into contact with companies. So my website is all about communication. This website will be a free servive (at first) for the consumer but also for the companies, but later on (after a year) it is possible that it will be a commercial site. Is it allowed in this case that I send emails to companies regarding this free service/website, or is this an illegal action in other words spamming? Is this a correct (legal) way to get companies on my free website and using my service, or will this also be considered as spamming? Regards Erik
Well are you going to personally contact them i mean or using some kind of mailing list . Well if you contact the sales team i dont think this will be considered as spam as your offer is in their companies interest too
Actually I want to search the internet for companies and of course their contact information, so I can put some kind of a mailing list together. And then contact them via email... telling about the new website/service. I am not sure what you mean by the sales division, but the companies that I have in mind are rather smaller companies that don't always have a sales department. I am really not sure if this is considered as spam, but I don't want to have problems afterwards.
