    Hello,

We are looking for a new front page and would like someone to design it for us, it needs it to be in blocks and have one large flash box with two small ones next to it and three smaller ones below the top three, all must match the colours of our site, you will also need to add them to our site so they line up correctly, so some programming knowledge needed, the page we are adding them to is CMS.

The blocks can be anything you like, IE: newsletter, best sellers, hot, gift certificates and so on, but the main one must be a flash block with some of are images in, all images can be taken from our site or stock images if you have the copyrights to you them if they are not from us. (problems in the past)

We have provided samples of a few we like.

    http://www.motherearthandbaby.com/
    http://www.littlebabycompany.com/

All the image and blocks must fit into this area "940x400" as we are keeping the Welcome To Our Baby World and anything below that for content.

Payment will be paid to the winning design by paypal once the design has been uploaded to our site.

The fee of $125 is negotiable if a lot of work has gone into the flash and images design.

Thank you for you time and lokk forward to seeing some examples :)

    Hello Blankeyecue,

Sorry not sure what you mean by (but..Kinda creepy...especially for a 0 Itrader) ?

We hire programmers and designers all the time, I do 50% of the work myself, I just dont have time to do it all, as I still need to run the business side and deal with customers, so we are starting to leave the design, programmer and content to the pros, plus im not as good as most designers that have an eye for detail.

As for 0 Itrader, have a look at getafreelancer and search the name jellybabys for project we have asked to be done, all ahev 10 star feedback 30+, the reason I have come here is because I like the designs here, I have seen what they have done for others, plus ive been a member from jan 2007, so not really a newbie :)

    Kind Regards

Whats creepy is the payment procedure..
Cant you not pay outright once you've chosen the winner?

Why do we have to wait for it to get uploaded to the site?

Because I am not a programmer, so all i am doing is making sure it fits and works on the site.

I can not see a problem with that? and as for the payment we are vat reg company with a turnover off 200K+ so $125.00+ would not break the bank..

    Kind Regards

Ok, you haven't really said enough.
Do you need a .psd file, or the coded xhtml (or both)?
And you said that "all must match the colours of our site" - what are those colors?

I have started making something, but don't quite understand what you need...

    Morning,

Ok, the site is in my sig: under baby, that should give you a rough idea of the colours to use or near to them.

I would guess the coded xhtml, but I am not expert, my last site was all in php (oscommerce), so CMS is all new to me and Im not sure how it works as yet.. so what ever way is best to make it work and show up on the site.

I have the home page CMS code and so on, if anyone needs it to put on a test page, that way it can be messed around with to make sure it works with what I already have, please PM me if its required, I could also give anyone access to the admin side to a test page (that way it can be tested to see if the design works well with the header/footer), again if required.

Really looking forward to seeing some designs, and thank you to anyone/everyone that has taken the time to design the page.

    Thanks

Is this a CMS that you're already using? I've been only working with WordPress designing so far, and I'm not sure if the solution I would present, could fit your CMS. I can, however design it in PSD and code it, not being sure if you can implement it as easy...

Here's just a bit of my work...

I didn't have the enough time to do it completely, but once I do - it'll look a whole lot better :)

    Hello Krsto,

It can all be in PSD format but then it would have to be 5 separate image, the large one would be a flash box so really not worth designing, its the two boxes next to the main box and the three underneath that would need to be designed, I know I said coded xhtml but I think that would be a bit of a pain to make work in magento.

I would also probably get a programmer that can line them all up if yo would not be able to.

    Thanks

So, new approach then? And you need it in xhtml?

    Here's the new idea...

    Hello Krsto,

Seems you are the only one intested in this project :)

Im getting this when trying to open the file: Safari can’t open the file “jb.rar” because no available application can open it. so could not see what you have done..

Well its not really a new approach, Im still looking for the 5 main images round the flash box, its just easier to have 5 images than trying to get it all coded in xhtml, all I would need to do is get the boxes lined up and im sure I can get done without to many problems.

    Thanks

I have been emailed by someone that is working on this project and was concerned that I was going to close this contest before I saw any entries, I was not planning to close it for at least a week or so or until we see a design we really like , I was just saying the krsto was the only one talking on the post..

    Sorry for any confusion.

I'll give it a try if it is just PSD.

    Hi

Yes no coding needed any more, all we are just looking for is 5 really nice image boxes, two for the side 3 for the bottom, that would match our site. the flash we can add as its not that hard, and we are happy to pay someone else to make all the images and flash line up if needed.

    Thanks
