Is it harmful to have medicine for tension or sleep.I guess it is not good but need your thoughts too.

I know many people take pills to sleep because they can not sleep without it.

But what about harms of the medicines?

Most of the medicines have their own side effects. Yoga and other physical exercises may be used to relieve tension and induce sleep in a natural way.

Yes, I think these type of medicines are injurious to health. Overdose may lead to death.

Alcohol is one option, but I believe most people would prefer sex. Works every time!

My doctor gave me some Erimine. That was the strongest I had ever tried. It downed me immediately for 4 hours of deep sleep. I don't recommend it though. It is a prescribed and controlled drug and can be addictive. My suggestion try a 10km job before you sleep. I am sure you will be able to sleep soundly after the exhaustion (if you are still alive and kicking).

Try valerian root and melatonin. Herbal and seems to help. If not, knock it out with a shot of whiskey and an ambien.

Stay away from any drugs full stop unless suggested by your Doctor for a genuine reason.

I think any of those drugs for stress, pain, tension or what ever are safer to use for a short time

My advice is take up a sport or hobby that is physically demanding and exhausting = relaxing and tiring so you will forget about everything else and just sleep :)

Walking/Running or going to a gym are good options but Boxing or martial arts are best for getting rid of build up stress, anger, anxiety or any negative feelings and will give a natural high of feeling good and you sleep well. Not to mention benefits to your health fitness and build self confidence.

Talking about all those things in your life which are causing the problems is only real way to help your brain deal with it all.

The solution is combo of lifestyle changes and talking about all the things on your mind.

You could also try a relaxing massage from a trained and qualified person but that can get expensive :(
