VB or IPB?

If all conditions are same (graphics, style, server, bw, load etc) which board do you think loads faster? I am not refering to their features, I would like to know under similar conditions which board loads faster.

    Your opinions please...

I currently run and have ran boards under both VB and IPB. To me IPB loads faster, but VB is a better software.

VB loads faster too, you just have to insert to line to its header.

Most of the big forums use VB too. Thousands of hacks.

It is a matter of preference. I like vBulletin, because it has many mods and etc.

comparatively IPB loads faster... but I will always go for vbulletin *you can check for free/paid templates to reduce loading time.. (less graphics savy)

Couldn't see any IPB on that list, maybe that's telling me something?
    Surprising number of PHPBB though

Look at the age of those PHPbb forums. Most of them are quite old and have had alot of time to build posts / members.

Definitely vBulletin, seeing almost every IPB Version has came out with some exploit, I'd go with vBulletin, there hasnt been one exploit for vBulletin since version 3.1+

I'm just surprised they haven't switched to something more professional with that number of posts.

I noticed many IPB switching to something else (vB, SMF, phpBB) because of the many exploits but no (or less) fixes.
Somehow larger forums running IPB were www.phpfreaks.com, www.mysqlfreaks.com, etc but are now making a transition to another forum software.

You can read a the "freaks" opinion about IPB here http://www.mysqlfreaks.com/forums

    Imo better software is vbulletin.

but there support is utter crap.

so i guess ipb for over all, as support is everything.

if it runs perfectly on the software you have, theres not really any point changing.. special with that site that has like 700million posts... phpbb is small, and tiny script. so i guess it can run faster.. heck that server must be so fast. lol
