hello, I currently have been doing some link exchanges on my forum site. I often wonder how much is too much to have without being penalized? is there such an answer? thanks
I don't know what you meant "being penalized", i think the more links you have the better to your your site.
exchanging links in an effort to inflate your search ranking is what will get you penalized Google can easily detect reciprocal linking
I think they mean outgoing links. And you shouldn't have more than 100 total outgoing links on a page. And for reciprocal links, I would advise having less than 25. And make sure that they're relevant to your site and of good quality. But at the same time, I'm not entirely sure how this works for forums. It really depends on where you are placing the links. If it's in posts, for example, I don't think it will really hurt you. -Danielle
i think no one knows how much because sometimes you have only small links but your website is being penalize.
Depends on the site & where the links are going. If you have a list of obvious paid links, then I think 30 is the absolute max! But some sites (like budgeting sites), have sections for coupon sites, money saving tips & then they also have their own blogroll & maybe a few separate paid links. There can be 50+ but it doesn't look unnatural.
High pr and reliable link is nver enough..But too many reciprocal links are dangerous. You may try some triangle links.
Too many link exchanges will definitely make your website look spammy. Just a few decent exchanges is enough, then you can concentrate on other link building techniques.
So we have to becareful to do link exchange at our wesite, because google doesn't like it. But let's say we already penalized by google because of link exchange, we will need long time to make google stop the penalized....
I think you don't have to worry about how many link you have because the old site gain more back links and still building links everyday,...... but you have to choose a quality link to your site gradual link building is much better.IMO
Get quality one-way backlinks and be careful who YOU link to!! Google says no more than 100 links on a page, internal or external!
15 years of experience. A page that is overloaded with outbound links passing along less link juice than a page that has minimal outbound links.
i don't think there is a some prediction for number of links for a site but you can put maximum 20 links on per page.
