I believe the version 2.0 is quite good, my site Engadgeteer, with keywords "Latest Technology News" on the key word rank Page 1 5th place on search results, with the proper meta-description tag. Unlike, the old one, which my site rank 8th place, with improper meta-description.

No doubt its faster then before... but spam ranking problem are still there in my industry... some of my ranking get better and some get worst. Hope Google will pay attention in this areas too... to remove the spam rankings.

Other than faster speed, is there any other additional feature?

It's a few milliseconds faster but I don't really see any difference in the results.

The google search results have always fluctuated, so what exactly is new now?
I thought google always were improving on their algorhithms and search queries, so what exact changes have been made to call this v2.0 ?

No major difference at all from the current search engine that I can see, I'm guessing some of the spam has been filtered out better rather than making any real difference to the rankings of the genuine sites.

I really like the new engine. It runs quite a bit faster (not that speed was ever a huge issue).

Also, I have a site that I have been trying for a few months to gain any traction on Google. Checking in the sandbox, I have gone from nothing for any of my keywords to all first page rankings. When does this come out again?

I heard rumors that this new search engine is coming out July 2010 and the pagerank update is happening in November some time. I don't know if this is true or not.

I read the same thing, it doesn't sound like enough updates to call it v2.0, but well' have to wait and see

There's not pretty much difference in this new algorithm, minor changes I notice.

This is the benefit of competition. Good for us Internet users. Without competition there can be no improvement.
