    I prefer Intel, as a general rule, I've found AMD to be less compatible and more power hungry, but their value for money is great.

    I'll go for Intel!

    I've had AMD processors before and the temperature rises ridiculously, it makes me nervous. There support says it's normal and can go up to 80 degrees without the need to worry. Mine was going over 70 and didn't look normal.

    Anyway this was the old AMD Athlons from like 4 years ago. Since then I've always chose Intel for the cooler processors. Even with intense gaming it stays between 50-60.

    As usual the case is Intel is far more reliable then AMD while AMD is far more better to use in gaming rather than use it in multi tasking:)

    Athlon II X2 250 is one of the lowest power hungry processor compared to intel core2 duos.
    It is about Rs 2200($44) cheaper than core2 Duo E7400.
