I would like to have a news page on my non-blog site that displays the headlines and a brief story summary from an RSS news feed (Yahoo or Google News). I've tried using Simple Pie...as it seems like it should work. But I keep running into errors of various sorts...most seriously, it keeps breaking my site template on that page. I use Dreamweaver to edit my sites...and it will survive one or two saves/edits....but then it breaks and destroys the code on the news page. So if you're good with Simple Pie (i.e., you can fix these issues so I can use it) or can hook me up with another free simple-to-install system, I need your help. I'm willing to give $20 to the first person who can get me to a simple solution.
Why to use preg_match?? RSS is in XML so we can manipulate the XML DOM to do this. @chazzbro: I can help you with this but I need to have a look at your site first. Please add me on MSN. Contact info on my profile.
Thanks for the input. I heard from several people willing to help, but the first guy got me fixed up. best, c-
