I run several video websites (links) But I am looking for a different host. I have my sites now hosted in the netherlands... But it is extremely exspensive.. Getting around 200k visitors a month... But cant grow further because I reached my limits... I was looking at hostgator or bluehost... But imagine if I get 1.000.000 visitors a month or more... wont the site be openingen verry slowly then? It says unlimited bandwitch space etc etc.... But if the servers cant handle it and my users have to wait 8-15 sec for a page to open... I will be losing users.... So is it okay to go to hostgator/bluehost? Or atleast for a while?
When webhosts say things are unlimited, they don't really mean that. I try to stay away from the big name hosting companies. I use a host called "igx host", the owner is here on DP and very good support. For your website, consider buying a dedicated server (don't buy unlimited shared hosting on any webhost for your site). Dedicated servers run more efficiently and can handle more then if your site is on shared hosting or VPS.
It is more to kickoff... Budget is running low of all stupid investments I have made... So I was thinking about setting everything good up at a cheap host and just wait and see how many people are visiting my website(s) and then go search for a decent dedicated.... I will go and check @ igx host as well. Maybe it is an good solution. Thanks for the help!
They don't even allow warez linking. I would suggest you go for at least a vps coz shared host is unable to host such site due to shared resources.
