well i keep wanting to get my site seo but its expensive and don't have the budget i learned a lot of of page seo techniques but i have no idea how to do on page keywords etc

so i want to ask the people that know seo ... where did you learn it

Is there like an ebook that shows you step by step on page seo ..... not those that gives you hints but that ones that actually shows you how to do it yourself :D

    Thank you

SEO is one of the areas that there are no definitive answers, all you see or read about are conclusions from people who tried different things. So, to learn SEO, you must read a lot on the subject, test strategies and get your conclusions. In a nutshel, SEO is about on-page SEO & link building

i agree with that, there is no specific process to learn SEO, internet full of seo ideas some of them are fine and some of them would be a disaster to your website.

how to deal with seo, i think you need a bit knowledge on html language, try to search about meta tags, title tags, meta description.

I learned by reading books on information architecture, HTML and CSS, and then the SEO FAQ on SitePoint and Chris Beasley's SEO Guide at http://www.websitepublisher.net/seo-guide/

    dear,
its good that you are putting your efforts but SEO is basically research kind of subject. there are no particular rules like you follow them and your site will rank, its not like that. you need to try out different seo techniques and try to derive your theory from it. surf some seo sites, forums and try to gain as much knowledge from it.

I learned seo through readings and the best way to start off is working with your title, description, tags and header.

So you wanted something akin to my upcoming free SEO Bible? Too bad I lost the notebook I had that thing written in. (Yes, I'm old-fashioned in that I write things using pen and paper.)

What advice? All I see is a fluff post that contains nothing more than a table of contents ripped off from either a poorly written ebook or "SEO Training Course" Web site.

well thats what im looking what are the best ebooks for starters ... it has to be a guide out there how everyone starts doing seo ... learning the concept of it of course later on you try little experiments but how do you learn it from where

There should be a guide where is step by step instruction of what you need to do ... not just the names ( like meta tags keywords density etc ) but how you do those things

If you dont have the money to spend you need to work sincerely. You have to design your page according to google guidelines, update content regularly, try thematic linking these things will not take you to higher results, the formula here is to work hard i mean on page optimization.

Well like I said earlier, I'm writing one (it's really more like the ultimate guide to building a successful Web site - but the emphasis is on SEO). But in the mean time, if you want I can cobble together some links from my library and put them in the order that I'll be using to teach everyone SEO once the site goes live.

    Would that work for you?
