Actually,it doesn't work like the way you think... it changes the permalink of the blog from 'myblog.com/category/my-category/` to `myblog.com/my-category/`. you can get it from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-no-category-base/
I use "PS Disable Auto Formatting" on all blogs. Stops wordpress inserting <P> on each line, giving you more control over the rendered HTML. This will help you (1) make advert / tracking scripts work and also (2) help get your HTML to be W3C compliant. I've recently started with "WP-o-Matic" which creates posts direct from RSS feed. Some cheeky punters are selling similar products for $199. This one is free! And it works very well and even reports if the cron job is working or not. Use plugins to solve a genuine problem. Each plugin has can bring negative points such as: Security - Surface area of attack, Plugin/Wordpress Upgrading Issues, Transferring Host Issues, Performance Issues, Space Usage Issues. So use em wisely! Often a problem solved by a plugin can be solved without one too. Also I only use ones that I download from wordpress.org. And finally don't pay for a wordpress plugin unless you really really really can't find a free one on wordpress.org. And I have found everything I need there!
great write on wp content rss..... I tired this plug in but seems to post only when another blog makes a post ... plus your duplicating those cntents from them ... this is bad for seo..... like caffeinated content ..... it is the same only cc is better... that plug in is good one ...
Is it bad for SEO? I have got more hits from duplicated content than original. In terms of ROI on time spent, or ROI on money spent duplicated content can be a good lifeblood for a site. Especially if it is niche. You may be in a lower position i google than the original, but it may only be one position lower, and with a superior title tag you may get the click. What is cc?
thats interesting if you have all in one sep packh and the duplicate content plug ins --- is that enough to stop your blog from getting the black mark from google...???/ I do see many blogs online with this feature..... can you pm me your blogs also need some help with wp omatic too.....
