Can someone explain that to me? Hezbollah started a war, knowing how it will end, causing to total destruction of Lebanon and people still support the terrorists? So if it's so cool, may be we all should do terror and not love
life imitates the family guy. remember when peter forms the country of "petoria" - he was put in the back row of the UN, then the iraqi (or some ME country) told him that he invaded another country and he's in the fifth row now! so peter takes over his neighbor's backyard so everyone takes him seriously. Peter Griffin Man, this sucks. Podium guy! I've got a problem here! Albanian Diplomat Excuse me. Some of us are here to learn. Peter Griffin No one's talking to you, Albania. Speaker Is there a problem back there? Peter Griffin You bet your funny accent there's a problem. Peter Griffin I'm stuck up here in the nosebleeds. I am president of Petoria. Peter Griffin I want a better seat! Speaker Of course. How could we not have recognized the great nation of Petoria? Speaker Have a seat up front. Peter Griffin That's more like it! Speaker And would you also like a special satellite that can scratch your ass with a laser beam from space? Peter Griffin They have those? [Laughing] Peter Griffin Hi, how you doing? You mind if I... Diplomat They don't respect you. Peter Griffin What do you mean? Diplomat Listen to me. I was the laughing stock around here until my country invaded Kuwait. Now I have a seat in the third row. Diplomat Look, the only way to get respect around here is to find something you want and just take it!
You've got to remember that most people in that area are poor and have no jobs. Hezbollah comes in and brings money to make their lives better, so naturally they support them. Hezbollah is like a welfare program. People have short-termed memories. They don't remember (or know) that Hezbollah is responsible for killing many Americans--aside from the others they have murdered. Unfortunately, when Israel stops, nothing much will have changed. The people will come back, be poor and Hezbollah--with money from Iran and other sources--will act like peacemakers to buy support. It's partly our (USA) fault. We are so addicted to oil, that we fund most of this. We buy oil from country X at high prices, which boosts their coffers through the roof and makes them more defiant (see Venezuela/Iran). They in turn send money, in the form of humanitarian aid, to groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. Those groups then attack and kill innocent people--even their own.
Aren't those unproven (and denied) allegations? Don't let a neocon hear you say that, he might shoot you for hating your country. Just blame everything on the biased liberal media instead
You're predilection to believing terrorists over reality is well known, but the attack on the marine barracks in '83 is generally accepted to be the work of hezbollah.
Yea, I love this country. I hate the fanatics. A fanatic is someone that believes their side is 100% right and the other side is 100% wrong 100% of the time. Just because we have a good military and good resources doesn't mean we should whore them all around without thinking first. Instead of revising our actions in Iraq, we have to name call and accuse people of "cutting and running." That's just brilliant. I voted for Bush (even worked on his campaign), but this is too much. Here's a thought. If Iran, Iraq and North Korea are the axis of evil that pose a great threat to us, why did we attack the weakest one? Also, if we are having this much trouble with the puppy of the bunch, how can we expect to deal with the other two? What's next? Should we name Tuvalu as a new member? They might be easy to pick off. If you had a gun with 1 bullet and were about to be attacked by three men, would you shoot the unarmed one in the wheelchair (Iraq), the one with the knife (North Korea) or the physically fit one with the Ak-47 (Iran)?
Right. Well known ALLEGATIONS, with what proof? So we have several radical groups claim responsiblity, yet for some reason we blame Hezbollah who wasn't even officialy an organisation then. You're ability to just believe anything showing up on the news or spewed out by the government is unreal!
I'll remind terror organizations to file proper paperwork before they initiate any strikes I know, yo-yo. They were just twiddling their thumbs, in their own country no less, while the local boy scout troop loaded up a truck with explosives to attack US interests. this event didn't happen in a vaccum: http://wwwa.house.gov/international_relations/109/dau021605.htm Add to this citizens being kidnapped by hezbollah after these attacks and it pretty well points a finger at someone doesn't it. I know you hate to blame terrorists for doing evil, but come on now. http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/05/30/iran.barracks.bombing/ Enough evidence in a court of law, but not for y-yo. I know. Reagan probably pulled this one off (since Bush wasn't on the scene yet...oh, maybe his father did it...man now the whole thing comes together!)
Still can't show any evidence that Hezbullah did it eh? Just take the government's word for it! Once again, where's the evidence? Let me guess.. it has to remain top secret, nation security!
You have a hard time with timelines, don't you? Let me simplify it for you. Bob blows up your neighbors house last week. This week "someone" blows up your house and all of its guests. Next week Bob kidnaps the neighbors family and blows up other stuff...and continues do it for 20 or more years later. Who might that someone be? Its not rocket science.
So what you mean lorien is that there is no real evidence that Hezbullah did it. Only the assumption and that they did, although they deny it and others take credibility for it. Interesting.
Yep. That's what I'm saying. Either that, or you have a basic inability to face reality. I know in your world, terrorists never actually blow up things and kill people; its always the government. I need to remember that
Are you working for hezbollah now, or just doing this pro bono? Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you breast feeding back in the mid 80s?
So what you're saying is, as long as the government tells you something, it's true. You're a perfect little sheep aren't you? I actually happen to believe in and stand for real principles. Things like "Innocent Until Proven Guilty"... you know, all the things that were patriotic until Bush took over and completely disregarded.
Says the man who follows Alex Jones like a little lemming. Quoting "facts" from Loose Change all the time, not realizing its been debunked everywhere online. Meanwhile, other actual governments back up the events and what Hezbollah did in '83. Who denies it? Hezbollah. Hmmm...credibility does not sway me to believe hezbollah. But yes, I know, you think that terrorists never do anything. We all know.
Right, you stand for the same principles that terrorists do. We've seen that time and time again. "Innocent until proven guilty?" Only when it's terrorists involved. But when it's our soldiers, you convict them without trial or jury, like john murtha. Don't paint yourself as a rose. Your history clearly shows you are the fertilizer.
