I had my PR drop to 0 at the beginning of August even though my backlinks stayed the same - must have done something wrong! I'm hoping for an update soon to bring the PR back up again ASAP! I think it will happen at the end of Aug again but that's just a guess
I had one of my sites jump from PR0 to PR4 in July and I don't even know why, of course I am not complaining.
It's happening again: Google (re)calculates PageRank for the pages in the index. From what I've seen, only new pages get a PageRank, those that already have one don't get an update. At least for the moment. Google will definitely update PR for all the pages, but they've started with the new pages first as they have fewer backlinks. A great site where you can check the PageRank of a page is Live PR. The site shows you the rank from many Google data centers and it uses Ajax for that. Although the value of PageRank for webmasters has been decreasing, a PageRank update it's still an exciting event. The last major update was in February.
Sorry to hear that itsallwhite. Does your username imply that your site is all white hat? May I ask, how do you know that all your back links stayed the same? How do you know that someone did not drop you from their page? Bompa
Well I have been working on my site but it has been indexed in the supplemental index, I am working on adding more keyword rich content, however, I am having trouble getting pages out of the supplemental index due to my lack of a pagerank and I really would like to know if there was a way to find out if my site will in fact be ranked the next time pageranks are issued.
I have no idea on when Google will update PR, but I want to let you know that those prediction tools are just for fun only, don't take it too serious.
The last update was in end of May! It's normally updated around 3 months, so we can espect that the PR update is coming by the end of this month in August...
Some of the members are stating that there is a PR change. But I didn't notice it. Hope in the coming month, one can observe a change in PR.
Usually good update three months a time, sometimes it will update two months in between. Last big updata is in the late June, and the next updata should be in the end of Sept.
I am not really sure unto the next PR update... Google knows it but wont be announcing it to the public on when?
Well the pr update is expected in the next week. if not then should be next month for sure. cause the normal time for pr update is 3 months which is almost due.
