with this type of website, you want to rank mainly for pages from every show you have on your site. and not so much for the homepage, basically you have to redo almost everything... for example the show: air gear - animepalm.com/category/air-gear the keywords you should rank for are "watch air gear online" (search it on google and watch what your competition sites are doing). the URL should be animepalm.com/category/watch-air-gear-online the title and meta tags - should also be "watch air gear online" the page itself that this is going to be on should have an image and a review of the show and the episode list below that.

Good point to note, I agree with you. Longtail keywords always win the race for competion. Rewriting url's can boost search engine ranking as it can match for several keywords rather than one, and ranks top for less competition.
