Movies These Days...

    Have you been watching a movie lately and later realize that the movie you've just watched seems alot in relation to another movie you've watched before? It's happening quite frequently, isn't it? Well, it is for me and i'm still here waiting for the kind of movie to come along and sweep me off my feet. Something that has never been thought of before. I mean, don't get me wrong, they'd be lots of really great movies coming out these days but what about something with a completely brand new topic or story?

    I'm hoping the new Marvel Movies, spanned across 2010 - 2012 are gonna be good. There's over 20 Marvel Movies going to be released - and I'm really looking forward to them.

    I think lot's of young brains should take up film making with some out of the box ideas... I think, it is very necessary that the Indian film makers think beyond the formula commercial films....

    American movies are setting the trends and the course of the movie industry. Appreciate your local films and you'll see. True talents are in there and good directors as well as good story.;)

    I was reading that it is common for studeos to spy on screenwriters from other studeos to see if they have a new concept movie coming out, then make a similiar movie to steal their thunder and take advantage of hype. That new District 13 or whatever it is called looks remarkably similiar to transformers and i have noticed that genre films often come in pairs.

    Movies are definitely becoming less "original" over the years. The same thing is happening (and has been) in the music industry. Artists are relying on copying (samples) from past artists because they can't come up with their own NEW original material.

    Also, a lot of sequels and prequels are being released. So, we don't get to see a lot of new movies these days.
