How many article?

I just started with article marketing and already I have submitted 3 articles. My question would be how many articles should I write before I get at least 200 visitors a day on my site.

The thing with articles is you will initially get some traffic and then it will die off. Why? Because initially your article will be at the top of the list since it is the newest and other people will click to read it. After that, it will get lost with 1,000s of other articles and the only way someone is going find it is by searching for it. Even then, many other people will have very similar articles to yours which will compete with you.

I've even seen people try replicating the top articles and writing about the same topic thinking their article will also rise to the top. I have submitted several articles so far (past 2 months) and only got about 20 clicks. I got over 500 readers, so that tells you somewhat of a story. Keep in mind I do not sell any products but offer a service. Those that sell particular products like weight loss products and have articles about weight loss may get more clicks per article.

i have to say it will depend on how many articles you write and the quality of the article.

if you can submit a least 3 articles a day that would be 90 articles an a month or 180 articles

an two months. By that time you should have a good amount of traffic to your website.

But if you can go another month that would be 270 articles in 3 months so you should see a

    good amount of traffic then.

There really isn't a magic number - the big thing is to keep cranking out those articles - the more articles you write, the more visitors you will have!

I just read a good article about submitting articles. It talks about the best sites to use, and using the right keywords in your title for the best SE results. I can't post links yet but Google "Bum Marketing" and it's 2nd from the top about article marketing. Very useful info.

It will depend on quality of your article (content, grammar, seo). 10 quality article will always be better than 100 crappy articles. Remember for long term traffic, you would need repeated traffic from visitors and that means quality content that impress and interest them.

Who would visit a website again if they see crappy content on display? :)

Even for short term traffic, you need to impress with quality articles if you want to stop them clicking close after 10 seconds on your website.

It really depends on how good your articles are. If you create good ones, then they may go viral. If they go viral you will get a ton of traffic.

The best thing to do it to keep submitting articles. Through trial and error, you will be able to write successful articles.

Articles you submit to article directories like ezine going viral? Where have you seen that? The only things I've seen going viral are videos, pictures, and short articles with some kind of pictures, charts or diagrams. These are usually submitted to digg and reddit. I've never seen a quality ezine article make it to the top of digg or become viral. Most people don't like to read, that's the bottom line. This is why YouTube is popular. The more you write, the less they care unless it's an essay they need to read to do a school project or for work. :) What is the amount of traffic you are getting from your articles that you submitted to article directories and how many articles did you submit?

I don't agree with this. I have few articles picked up by established educational site and it has been bringing in good amount of referral traffic to my site.

Having said that, instead of relying articles to bring in traffic to your site, why not use it as a measure to build backlinks to your site so that to improve your site serps. That in turn will bring in more search engine traffic.

Well, you got lucky then if some educational institution is using your articles? Honestly, how many people are going to be featured on an educational site? Also, with the rate ezine approves articles, I have to wait more than 7 days to see any of them approved. I'm still waiting for a few to get approved and may need to resubmit them. Very slow process. I submit to a single article directory as Google usually just ignores duplicate submissions to separate directories.

I think that shouldn't be construed as lucky only. I believe the more articles you submit, the higher the chances that your articles will be used.

7 days? Which article directory do you normally submit to? Ezine normally approves my articles within 48 hours, some took longer time depending on whether the articles contain any error.

How true is this? Anyone can answer this?

No offense, but seeing your writing level, I can see why you don't think people like to read. Look at your own articles first.

And yes, articles can go viral. It doesn't happen every day, but with hard work (not luck) your article can go viral. Article marketing is more for building links though.

Ezinearticles will approve much faster when you reach platinum membership. Then they approve in around 48 hours.

Number of articles doesn't matter although they do help. But if your article is good enough then even 1 article can get you 200 visitors. In short work on quality than quantity.

When you are so smart, how many people do you get to visit your website per day from your articles alone? I like to read, so please keep your assumption about me to yourself. You have not even read any of my articles, and as a result, cannot judge their quality. Judging someone from their forum posts alone is silly. I am not going to write an essay here, but a short message that gets the point across.

The most important thing to realize is where you are publishing your articles. How high is the Page Rank
of the Article Directory you are publishing from. PM me and I will give you a list of Article Dierctories by PR.
Second, write one article and submit it to 30,0000 article directories or write 30,000 articles and submit
it to 1 article directory. Which do you think is easier, more cost and time effective. PM me and I will give you options on distributing articles.
One place to stay off of if you want to write articles and list articles that you have already written is
eHow.com . Here is my story in a nutshell, most of their how to articles about how to make money online are generalized bunk. I submitted an article I had already written on my own website and they banned me for PLAGIARISM when I was the ORIGINAL author. I gave them all the URLs,the details and I had not logged on in a while and when I tried because I was banned for trying to publish my own article. I have done similar things
on Hubpages, Squidoo, ArticleAlley and the imminent Ezine@rticles and all of them have had the brains and
did the resarch to realize that I was the original author. Not EHow, though. Du_b as bricks.

I disagree with Willprospector, you should NEVER submit identical articles to multiple directories! Submit the original to a prominet directory (eg Ezinearticles) and then spin the original article to get variations. You'll need to manually edit and proofread the spun articles to ensure they read correctly.

Pagerank has no effect on how your article will rank and you shouldn't stress on pagerank AT ALL when it comes to article marketing! Worry about the backlinks they establish, 2 links per article, I usually do one link to the homepage of the target site with the keyword I'm trying to rank for, and then I use the other link to do to a deeper page within the same site with another keyword phrase.

Sure you'll get natural traffic from those people who value your article and want to visit your site, but that traffic is slim compared to how your SERPS will be affected by quality targeted in bound links.

I use Ezinearticles as my main directory, I paid for the Platinum/premium membership so my articles get approved much more quickly, google is actually indexing and caching my articles about 5 minutes after they get approved and instantly they make the top 10 google search results for whatever keyword phrase I target.

In conclusion, make your article interesting to the reader and you're more apt to get visitors who want to visit your site after reading the article, but don't rely on the article to be the main generator for unique visitors, worry more about the inbound link from the article.

It really depends on the quality of the article, your website niche and the article direcotry you submit to.
