Should I Opt for SEO optimization services?

Recently, I got a web site designed keeping in mind all the required designing and usability elements. But despite all these I have not been able to get traffic. Suggest me whether I should go for SEO optimization services?

its up to you, if you want to make profit and want to have traffic of your site so that all people in your niche can know about your site, you must take help of some SEO company. But be sure that you opt for good seo companies or else your site might get banned by search engines.

 

You could do it yourself but if you are a complete newbie it could take time to learn and implement but if you've got time on your hands then I'd say do it yourself as you would save a lot of money and results are never guaranteed no matter what they say, you may even do a better job then they do.

 

Seo isn't really rocket science, it is more of less intuitive, plenty of incoming links and relevant keyword rich content

 

Nope you're right, it's pretty easy, you could easily make a good amount of profit if you know what you are doing. If you optimise your website for a word that has 1000000 competing for the same word you're not going to have much luck. You'd be surprised how many webmasters do that and lose money. Wordtracker is pretty useful for finding out your competition and the demand.... it's not free but it's money better spent (I think)

If you are willing to learn, and willing to work - no one can do it as well or with tenacity as you can. Learn from here, get a book and other forums and discussions on all of the methods of building links, optimizing your site and keep adding content.

Learning SEO takes time, everyone on the Internet thinks they are SEO pros because they read articles here and there and managed to rank a couple of pages in google. It's a profession. Focus on being great on what you are actually good at and find experts to complete your weaknesses.

95% of the so-called SEO experts in the market are frauds and is only interested in your money. At the same time it is very difficult to find a genuine and good SEO expert.
I would recommend that you spend some time, on the internet learning what basic SEO is and start building it into your website. Your website is yours and no-one will love it and nurture it like you would.
In addition to that you will also learn a new skill that can come in handy in the future when you build other websites.
Hence it is always recommended that you do it yourself.
