    hi dp members

i got lots of messages on 4 of my email ids from paypal, unfortunately i don't remember having a paypal account with those emails.

When i looked carefully the emails were not .com

and they asked me to login my account here
    (edited out the phishing link)

this site looks EXACTLY! like paypal but its NOT!

so if you get any warning messages or any such messages from paypal PLEASE be careful!

    regards,
    sameer

Its always recommended that login to your account using new browser window (by typing full paypal url yourself there). Never click any url provided by any email (specific to finance related sites AND forums :p).

    DON.

lol it's a tipical scam site... type your paypal login and password in that site and they will stole all your money!!!

To avoid this scam site it's very simple: you can reach paypal only at paypal.com, the others link are all scam

Always make sure that whenever you are entering your contact details or credit card details with a HTTPS URL the (S) at the end of the http means it's a secure link. so https://paypal........
Never ever trust a link that doesn't have https when you are giving out your details. Ok. [IMG]

Beside doing all the method suggested above, don't forget to forward the fake email to spoof[at]paypal.com if you received this kind of email.

Yep, never click on any links and BTW by what name they called you? I mean was there Dear paypal user or Dear paypal member? If so then it is 100% scam.

Um, there are ways around that and all that icon says is that the data transfer is secure between browser and the site in question and the data is going to the site in question. It wouldn't have to be paypal.

Why not go ahead and report it please:

    https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webs...ycenter/antiphishing/PPPhishingReport-outside

Be sure to include the headers from the email.

Paypal requests that we forward such emails to them at spoof @ paypal.com

They request that you send them the full email you received.

I have forwarded countless emails to them
