If I write 50 articles with the same title but different content

but more or less following the same theme will that increase my ranking in the SE for that phrase or should I should concentrate on targetting this phrase in the anchor text of the articles.

Will the bots be suspicious if they seem 50 articles with the same title linking back to me?

 

Don't use the same title to link back, not the best approach. Rather create 50 longtail titles and link back on that. This will look more realistic and increase the probability to rank for various terms related to your term.

 

sorry I don't understand. Do you mean create the same 50 longtail phrases and link them back to my site by including these phrases in my articles but not in the title as it will be too obvious? or do mean use different longtail phrases to link back to my site from the articles?

 

Your are doing things backwards...it would be better to have different title of course! That is more important than the content. So 50 different articles with different title. The anchor text should be the keyword/keywords you are trying to rank for! Feel free to mix those up. BUt you do not have to!

 

Oh I see. I actually intend to promote my articles aswell as the articles are driving the traffic!

Remember, the search engines rank individual URLs. So it makes no sense to have 50 articles targeting the exact same keyword phrase. The more pages you have that each target different keyword phrases, the more likely it is that you will rank for multiple keyword phrases... and the more traffic you can drive.

Ideally you want each article page to target a different keyword phrase. On each page, use it's unique targeted keyword phrase (and slight variations) in the <title>, <h1>, <h2>s, throughout the content, and as link text on other pages pointing to that page.

 

Where do you place your link with your chosen anchor keywords? In the author section or throughout the article? Would you recommend only having 1 link the article to your website? Or rather add some other references as well (maybe wikipedia or something)?

You can write 50 articles related to same niche.. This will help you rank for at least 1 famous keyword.. For example.. if you are writing about Michelle jackson or breast cancer then give them different titles like Michel jackson dance steps or Micheal jackson death in case of breast cancer then breast cancer symptoms, breast cancer treatment, etc.. I hope I have answered it well..

 

it i=only takes few seconds to tweak the title around a bit and make it unique. for better seo benefit, i would suggest you to use unique titles

 

Using same title will not help, reason -
First, If you are distributing your articles then the article sites will not pick up your article as first criteria for eliminating duplicate on many article softwares is by matching the title
Secondly, even if those articles are listed the bots will assume them to be from same source
In any case, the SEO value of such articles are of no value
When you have 50 fresh articles, what makes it difficult to create 50 different titles for them

 

Go with different title with proper targetted keyword. It will help a lot

 

If you're writing these articles for your site, it won't probably do you any good. However, if it's article directories you're writing them for, it should be okay.

putting 50 same titles may look spammy. so try to make different titles - no problem if you have some words similar.

I don't think that will give you traffic. Always go for different titles and try to get backlinks for your long tail pharse... that will help.

 

Definitely use different titles. Just go on a keyword tool and look up your main title and see what other variations are searched for and then base your titles on that.

 

Using same title for 50 contents is something like which is not possible. The urls are created as per title of the post and if the title will be same then it will create same urls. so thinking over this is waste of time. You should make use of different titles as per suggested by other members as well.
