$25 Logo Contest - Football/Soccer Theme

hello everyone,

i am in need of a logo for a football (called soccer here in the U.S.!) related website.

the title of the site is "Daily Footy Blog". thoughts are to have "dFb" (please note the lowercase "d" and "b" with the uppercase "F" in the middle) on a cool looking football with "Daily Footy Blog" either on the side in a cool font, or perhaps even wrapped around the ball.

the color scheme is pretty open. i like are red, blue, white, black, gray. the usual stuff.

i am open to creative ideas other than "dFb" on a ball. that was just one thought.

again, this is for a logo so no football photos in this case as you might do for a banner. (though as a bonus the winner might also be hired to create a banner if we need it)

really good start guys.

i have received PMs, thanks for them.

a couple have caught my eye thus far:

dorapol, interesting concepts. on your “second try” can you remove the player kicking the ball, level the logo, put “dFb” on the ball and maybe try a different font?

adwaitk007, can you put the name off to the side and shrink the “dFb” logo. i’m not crazy about the font you used so feel free to adjust.

ipdesign, your “dFb” is interesting. i don’t like the font nor the outline of the guy kicking the ball.

a few more things, keep it to just one football in the design. fonts as well as the design should be clean, simple, not overly busy.

adwaitk007, i'm still not a fan of the font and i don't like the "dfb" enclosure.

prowriter, colors are interesting on the dFb.

dorarpol, i like the direction on both. simple. sleak. however on the first one please level the logo so the logo is flat, not angeled.

the second looks cool, i don't like having two balls to fill the db then again i'm not sure what you'd put in the other if one did have the ball. (maybe diff colored balls?)

willhaynes, nice entry. i like the simplicity.

phpgator, not quite what i'm looking for, but you have a good design there. just not my taste.

i will have some more feedback later.
