Will i be punished indefinately by G if i use some links from DMOZ?

    is this enough to warrant a punishment?

    Change the descriptions to reflect your own style and you will not be breaching any copyright claims DMOZ might have (even if others tell you such claims are invalid). It is exactly what editors do when they come across a directory - mine the links and add the sites. Editors even have a tool for extracting links from any web page.

    i was going to combine my own links and some dmoz links to create the dir

    now i have to edit some 4,000 entires....

    As long as you worry too much about search engines, everything would seem as a punishment. Just forget them and get on with your goals. Afterall your life is not solely dependant on the "punishment guys" is it!!?
