Its a good idea. Owing to this rule real companies will be appeared on top pages instead of full of illegal hosting.

is this an enforced rule as of now?

also im glad to see that there will be some rules laid out, too many host offering "nulled or warez" hosting..

although the seedboxes i kinda dont agree with as it is very hard to advertise them in the first place

You may not start discussion threads in BST forums. They're for sales threads only. Leave the announcements to admins and mods. If we feel there should be a separate thread, we'll add it.

Seedboxes are used for illegal purposes 95% of the time. The chances of you using a seedbox for streaming a linux distro is rare. I know for a fact that people use seedboxes for Demonoid and the like, to up their share ranking and to also download those huge files so that they can download it at a later time at a faster rate.

What about when they ask for it?

    Example: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1453938

I ask because I;ve reported a couple of these and they still remain. No offense intended but just wondering if I should go ahead and keep reporting these. I would hate to be wasting a moderator's time.

    edit: The seedboxes as well.

Thanks for the response. Have to admit that I'm feeling a bit frustrated as I'm seeing spammers, threads and posts that I've reported still there the next day.

There must be hundreds of reports, and only a handful of mods. it takes them time to get through all the reports.

Agreed, that's why I said "next day" up there.

To be honest though, if I get some sort of reply either via rep (yes, some mods do send rep) or a pm, it usually comes within 5 minutes or so.

That's because if you happen to report it when one or more mods is in the reported posts, they'll see it right away. But there isn't always someone there, so sometimes things get buried until we can dig back down into them.

It's not an issue or a problem. I used to mod on the wordpress forums many eons ago plus a number of my hosting clients sites currently. Just blowing off steam about my frustration.
