Just want to get feedback before adding further elements.
And also please suggest something for the right hand side panel.

 

Here is a new look from me. Hopefully this is more on track with what you were looking for and you will like it.

 

technoguy: I love this design. I also like how you laid out the form. Only a few suggestions. First, if you could create a content box that is under the form and spans the length of the main design box. Also, I recommend taking the third box you currently have and designing the box like what you see on the tripology.com website (the box that says, "How Tripology Works"). Other than that it looks really good!

Fraz!: You are definitely on the right track. This design looks really good. The only suggestion I have is to have your mascot look more vacation centered. He looks a little too business like. However, everything else looks really good. Concerning the right side panel, I would just create sidebar titles and dummy text, since I will be having the sidebar coded to be widget friendly. Hope this helps.

a4hire: I like this mascot a lot better than the last. The purple background is a bit strong. Also, concerning the form, there needs to be some text that lets the user know what he or she is filling out. Something like, "To find the best deal, tell us where you want to go and we'll have up to 3 travel agents contact you!" Hope this helps.

stardesigns99: Thanks for making the changes. The navigation is still too thick. Also, the form still doesn't let people know why people should fill it out. You could put above the form something, like, "Where Travel Agents Battle Each Other to Find You the Best Vacation!" I would also include the third box on tripology.com that says, "How Tripology Works" (just change it to "How VacationPackage.net Works"). Finally, the penguin at the bottom needs to be completely in the blue footer. Hope that helps. Again, I really like the penguin.

WOW! Great designs everyone! I am close to finishing this contest, and I'm currently considering several designs even though all the changes are not quite in. Please submit your changes as soon as possible.

technoguy: Everything looks really good. However, I totally missed the fact that you do not have a button for your form. If you will add this I think your design is done and currently is one of the designs we are considering.

bizzard: This looks good, but I have a few recommendations. First, I would remove the plane and palm tree at the bottom (the plane looks like it is going to crash). Second, I would put a sidebar in its place. Finally, I would format the text under the button to look more like a blog post. Other than that it looks really good and once those changes are made the design will be considered!

Erthy: This looks really good. My only suggestion is the box you have for "flexible departure dates." It needs to look more like a check box or radio button. I would also put the box in front of "flexible." However, everything else looks really good and we are considering your design.

stardesigns99: Well Done! You did a great job implementing all my recommendations. I only have a few more suggestions and I think your design will be done. First, the color you used for "Where Travel Agents Battle Each Other to find You the Best Vacation!" blends in too much. If you could change this to stick out more, I think it would look better (also, could you try a different font, I am not sure I am sold on this one?). Second, could you make the buttons "Read More" and "Continue" be the same size. Also, I think the buttons should be parallel with each other, instead of having "Continue" higher than "Read More." Finally, if you could make the fonts of the buttons be the same that would be great. OVerall, though, you did a great job and your design is being considered!

Fraz!: Great job! I cannot think of any more recommendations. Your design is one of the designs we are seriously considering.

stardesigns99: Your design was already being considered. It just needed a few changes. I like everything you have done. However, instead of having a light white strip that highlights "How VacationPackage.net Works" and "Fill Out the Form to Get Started," could you have two white strips (highlighting the two phrases) with a space in the middle. Let me know if this makes sense or not. Thanks.

Can we know when the contest is closed by selecting a winner?

 

I want to give everyone an opportunity to get their changes in. However, I will probably be closing this contest in about 6 to 8 hours. So, feel free to get some sleep, and hopefully, I will announce the winner by the time you wake up tomorrow. Hope this helps.

 

Currently, there are five designs I am seriously considering. I have worked with these designers from the beginning and they are quite aware of what I am looking for. Therefore, I am no longer allowing any new designs to be submitted. Also, I will not be offering much feedback since everyone that is being considered is just about done with their designs.

 

I have made all of the changes that you suggested and will await your decision
