I just downloaded a template from here http://www.stemplate.com/fulltemplates.html I opened it up in photoshop but what do I do to make it live on a server. Do I just upload the psd file and the site will configure itself Do I save as... and name the template my site name, if so what file extention do I use? I can't use the extensions, gif, png, jpeg, of course I can't do that so what do I do to get the psd to perform as a site? Thanks in advance!
If you dont know hot to develop a wordpress themes then why are try hard when so many themes are available on net free. You can select from thousands themes.
I never said I wanted it to be a wordpress theme. I just want to make it a template. Just a regular html template.
you need to cut the psd up to be a html file, you have only bought a design, so it needs to be seperated and put together using css / html if you pm me i can help you out (for a small fee)
You can edit the PSD design and then you would need to slice it for HTML. There are many coders in DP who can do that.
Hi, nice spirit that u want to create a template of ur own. for that u'll have to learn about basics of photoshop how to slice images, dreamweaver(its an editor) to edit and create html and css. HTML / CSS ofcourse.. create classes and ids in an external stylesheet and put them in html tags.. you'll need a lot of practice for that... feel free to ask anytime... Thanks Harpreet Khera
