    Theres a sitemap plugin for it? do you have a link for the plugin please? i have used coppermine for about a year, i cant setup se friendly url's on it because of my hosting but it seems to rank well regardless.

    I like ZenPhoto for SEO. While it's not a 'full featured gallery', it has everything I usually need and is easy to add text, change title, etc..

    I just discovered ZenPhoto myself last Friday, just what I need to make a little portfolio site. Definitely worth checking out, it lets you add meta tag info for each page I think.

    am late to the party on this one.

    you really need a decent shared host. one of the cheap overloaded hosts will make it run slow.

    There's not much to do about the internal efficiency of G2. It's all to do with hosting. CPU and Hard disk speed are critical.

    We use a standard shared hosting from these guys www.vidahost.com for a decent sized gallery2 site (www.pureanimegallery.com) and it just flys.

    I have website with vector art: Free Vector Art. It's quite hard to get ranked good with this keyword "free vector art". The problem is, that where is no text like in other text rich websites like blogs. The content here is images, so you have to optimise for google image search. Use alternative text on images, and put file names like: free-vector-art.jpg. Getting backlinks also works great.
