    Hi there,

I am setting up an adult related service, on a .co.uk domain as the .com is missing and it is for UK users.

As I obviously don't want my address showing etc on WHOIS for my adult related website what can I do to get around this issue?

.co.uk don't allow hidden WHOIS if I remember rightly.

    Please help, much appreciated.

Most domain registars do some sort of cloaking for domain registrations. Best bet would be to check with them or find an outside service that does the same thing for you.

I am not sure but you can try out .uk.com instead of .co.uk

For a standard .co.uk domain, you can opt out of showing your address.

Your name will be seen though.

Most registrars allow to make your details private - I use 1and1.co.uk.

Register it with ukreg.com They have a little box where you can untick to opt out of whois information and its FREE.
Its on the registration process when asking for details.. So just Untick it.

domains are only £2.95 too. I always use them best place for UK domains !!!

Just gone ahead with 1&1 now, only £3 a year.... and assume the WHOIS option was free which I unticked to opt out :)

However, I've not recieved an email confirming my order? :S Whats going on lol? It said that it takes upto 24 hours for my account information to be sent is this correct? Also they didn't take any money out of my paypal just linked it with my 1&1 details? I assume they will charge me later right ? :)

    Cheers
