I need Marketing Help. I currently run a Stock Blog, http://stocksonwallstreet.net/. I started it less than six months ago and get around 16,000 visits per month with around 110,000 page views. I am making decent money around $500 a month yet have never spent anything on it, marketing wise and besides Twitter and a little forum posts have never marketed it much at all. Wondering if you could be any help and interested in what you could offer?

Adwords can be very expensive. In many cases, fifty cents, and higher.

In addition to that, you have your competitors on top and underneath you with their ads.

As an experienced advertiser, I say fuck that noise.

In a nutshell, I would suggest creating a line of good ads, getting them critiqued, and since you know your audience better than I do, then place them in sites you think may work for you.

Do you have free advice, that is also good? Use that for advertising.

Also, contact content sites, like, say, Askmen, About, Yahoo...to see if they would accept your articles on a weekly basis.

If not, then use those articles as advertisment. You put up a small ad in their site, readers click on it, and it goes to a separate page in theire site just for you.

Try to cut a deal with them so it won't be so expensive.

You've done very well for yourself. I think you should be proud of yourself for doing this well in such a short period of time. The only thing that stands out is that you're only making about 3 cents per unique visitor. I'd really try to push that up.

Personally, I'd just keep going with this website. I'd buy up some other domain names, preferably the ones that you're ranking for, and get other sites ranked for it. Dominate as many keywords as you can.

Just change your thinking a little bit. Don't try to get one site to make $5k/mth. Try and get 10 sites making $500/mth.

I could develop you a web commercial, I do film production, the video would essentially be put up on several video sites like Youtube, Vimeo and if done right will give you a surge of traffic for a short period. Obviously video blogging is the best but expensive.

Has anyone ever used those services that sent traffic to your site? Like 5,000 visitors for $20.

Ever consider a small ebook that you could sell to your visitors? You have a decent amount of traffic that this may work well for you if marketed properly.

What kind of "wise" advertising are you doing?

What else are you looking for?

You could always submit a Press Release or try Article Marketing.

don't buy junk traffic leverage what you have.

I looked at your site and it appears to be very passive in capturing emails.

What can you offer as an incentive to get people to sign up for your newsletter/tips? Are you using Aweber to keep in contact with them? If not then why not?

And put your offer in front of them so they have to close a pop up. You need to do more to encourage people to join your feeds. Then you need to figure out a plan for a backend.

Maybe you have done a lot of this... I don't know I looked at your site for 10 seconds and nothing told me to leave you my email. :p

    Hey there,

I don't know much about advertising but I do not about flipping sites and it looks like you've got a good candidate for a flip....if you're into flipping sites. You could build some more like the one you've got--if your site is making that much money without much effort you got get a pretty penny for it over on Flippa.com! or even here in the marketplace, perhaps. Or you could just let it grow and really flip it big!

    Good Luck!

As for flipping sites not so sure I am up to that as one I get attached to my sites plus two just lots of work up front where it would become way to time consuming.
