Hi I am facing a problem with google search... Google is deindexing the site created with associate-o-matic software. Is anyone facing the same problem with associate-o-matic software? Bye Nilesh
This has less to do with Associate-O-Matic and more to do with how you setup your store. Create unique, niche stores instead of general mall types stores that could be easily duplicated. There are all kinds of tips and ideas in the Associate-O-Matic forum.
i checked the site created with aom.. aom generates too many dynamic pages which creates problem in lite versions its also a violation of google indexing policy... but aom doesn't give any commitment on the full version too... i think aom needs to change the way they handle the pages...
It creates a lot of doorway pages which is strictly against Google Indexing Policies. That may result in a permanent ban in Google.
Doorway pages are web pages that are created for spamdexing, this is, for spamming the index of a search engine by inserting results for particular phrases with the purpose of sending visitors to a different page. - This is information from wikipedia. All SEs hate this behaviors.
i am facing same problem...my website http://www.cnc-machines.org daily google will cache my website. but suddenly from yesterday my site was not cached and not indexed why can you pls
Associate-O-Matic provides several SEO features including mod_rewrite and no-follow directives. We also have several ways that you can pull in original content be it articles, custom review, RSS feeds and the like. Additionally, you can use our API which allows you to include custom scripts that pull content from anywhere including your own database if desired. It's really how far you want to take it. We're always open to ideas and suggestions. Our forum is the best place to post these suggestions so we're sure to see them. I just happened onto this thread. Thanks, Justin
aom package is not that user friendly to use.. i think aom will charge money for all the extra things they said in the their post... please let me know if there is any freeware package or wordpress template available to do the things what aom can do?? so google search engine has problems indexing the site...
Ever heard of the phrase "you get what you pay for"? It is amazing to me how people want to go into business without spending a penny. It would be like running a restaurant and looking for free potatoes from the garbage. AOM has MAJOR issues. They are fundamental and I highly doubt they will be addressed any time soon. I have recently found few interesting alternatives. I haven't used the most recent version of AOM so my "review" may be outdated. The main problem I personally have with how AOM handles things is that it relies entirely on Amazon to organize the products properly. And we all know how Amazon constantly changes category IDs, then the permalinks get all changed, etc. It basically transfers all the constraint, problems and issues that Amazon has. Of course it is not easy to address that, because let's say you start storing stuff in a DB, now you have the issue with having to make sure the price has been updated in the last 24 hours, or it would be against the Amazon TOS. I believe that this would require a major rewrite and a fundamental change. Which the author will have a hard time achieving. That being said AOM is still one of the most customizable products out there. But there are some good alternatives.
I haven't reviewed them yet, so I can't vouch for any of them. I may be critical of AOM, but it is the only one I have used in the past and it has worked very well for me. This is one that I recently found and it looks promising, we will see where it will go: http://www.ecommerceforeveryone.com it's not cheap, not sure if it has a free version. Also they do all the hosting - I like a lot of the ideas, but as a whole I am still unhappy with it. I think this thread was started by the guy that made the script: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=651399 I like the fact that he understands what makes a successful store, not just at the technology level, but at the customer as well.
Yes I just looked at this and spamdexing looks to be a very big cause to deindexing all your sites. You reallly need the mod rewrties. And htacess. Hope this helps.
how does mod rewrites and htaccess work with dynamic and doorway pages as the content is not on site. the pages are only the pointers to original site
