Im submitting articles in large numbers to ab and ezine, but they seem to tank after a few weeks.

Is this true? Or will articles bring me traffic for years?

    Any advice is great.

Well. this is true, I'm afraid. This is due first to your competition, but also because google wants something fresh i guess. I know many so called gurus are telling that your articles will bring you traffic for years, which is a half lie to sell their ebooks. Some will stay in the first page of google for long time, most of them will disappear after few weeks if you are lucky enough firstly to rank. So, you will choose your business model. Putting tons of articles every day to EZA is a quick way to make a buck for you and a good money maker for the articles site. However, guess that no one wants to write articles every day for their rest of their life, do they?

No, some article still bring me traffic. If you focus on quality and good keyword research, you won't see this problem.

It's true, most articles will die down after a while. I have over 100 articles and they all did the samething. They brought lots of traffic and sales in the beginning but later slowed down. Keep submitting the articles but also rewrite them a little and add them to your own site for organic traffic too.

That's how article marketing works. Don't expect all your articles to live for years and bring constant traffic.

Some articles will die, others will stay...This is why you ALWAYS have to write, if you want more sales.

New articles are published on the category home pages so get more link juice initially, then why they drop off to deeper pages on the directory the rankings will drop accordingly.

Thanks for the advice. :) So if we talk hyperthetically. If i had 1000 articles. In 2 years time how many would you expect to bring traffic? I know its hit and miss but an interesting question.

I think posting to a few of the best article directories can give you passive income for some time.I concentrate on ezine, goarticles and several others. You can Google "25 best article directories" and this will give you the best out there. Some of them are very picky but the reason for this is for the purpose of quality articles.Google loves good content and this will keep your article in the spotlight. The site below offers a very comprehensive way to market on the net. They have several ways that help you attract traffic and grow your business.I hope this helps
