Paid reviews

For one of my sites, I get a lot of email from vendors asking that I do paid reviews for them.

What is Google's view on paid reviews? I've never promised the vendor that I will give them a positive review, but if they pay for a review on a product that they sell, I do give them an true review of their product with a link to their site?

That's fine if you are giving nofollow link to them. Google will penalize your PR if they found you are giving dofollow link to your buyer

i don't think google are going to penalize site by reviewing it.. there's alot of site that review some products.. as long as you don't do any link farm or excessive link exchange.. its fine..

read some of the link schemes that is against google guidelines..

a Paid review is always bad on Google. No matter how you look at it. If you want to accept paid reviews then it would be nice if you have a blog just for that and it could earn you an income monthly.

Paid review is okay if you use nofollow tag in the links.
Unless, it'll be treated as paid links and you may get penalized.

I think it's fine if you are not doing it a lot. If you make it as a business, google might penalize

I know that Google has something specified in their terms regarding paid links but I don't know how they can track this kind of content. From what I know thei will take measures regarding these practices if someone notifies them that the site does not comply with their terms on use.

paid reviews are fine... and google will not penalise you as long as you stick to the topic and don't create a link farm.

It's quite a variety of opinions here. I'm going to go on the assumption they are ok so long as you do a no follow link to the site.

I am selling reviews in my sites but the number should be restricted or you should have 3 or more normal posts per paid post. Thats what I am doing.

Do the paid review. How would google know it is paid? What is you decide to just do a review about the product because you like it without them paying you money would google know?

Right now, if I decide to do a review about iPhone, would google penalize me because I did the review?
