I wonder if the long keyworks get good position in the search engine. so the short key workds also get good position?
For example: Long key word: high accuracy digital indicators,
    shot key word: digital indicators

Yes, why not? And for longer keyword you will get less competition and more possibility that people will find you.

Long key words are highly targeted when compared to smaller ones and it might get less traffic too when compared to smaller ones .. But those little traffic is highly targeted
Quality is better than quantity :D

Both work, they differ in traffic generated from them, how targetted etc etc but both can be quite easy or a little harder to rank for.

Not all long tail are easy to rank for, depends on all sorts of things.

short ones will all ways have the best position but then there are more competition for them. That's why people look for long tail keywords with high search volume but low competition

Totally agree with you. before you choose a key word, you'd better check on the net, find out what people call them. and you can be some more exact and specific.

When you take a look at the SEO procedure the leading companies are using, you will notice that tens or different keywords like phrases and long terms are being used as they all are searched for.

I guess you were asking whether good rankings for long-tail keywords will automatically imply good rankings for short-tail ones? Well, they won't. You've got to work on the short-tails separately.

You need to keep working on getting backlinks. Otherwise you'll loose rankings to your competitors.

I think too that 3 or 4 keywords will be easier to rank than 2 keywords for examples. Also, they convert better because they target something more precise. There is less competition too.

Short keyword normally will have more "competitor", therefore always go to long keyword which provide more targeted traffic and less competitor. of course, before targeted on the keyword, we shall study the search volume

When selecting keywords, there is an orginal keyword and some other long tail keywords based on the original keywords. It is called "long tail keywords" strategy.

True, long tail keyword not only provide more targeted traffic but also help to get good rank in search engine easier. The longest the better if the search volume is good enough

Yes, it always amazes me the "long-tail" keyword phrases that people use to find my sites - I hardly every show up on the shorter keyword searches (at least not yet)

i will say that there is less competition with long names. less of a chance of having something that's the same/similar and then higher chance that people will find u if its a known name.

I think the key for us is a little bit of both. We target short keywords and well as long. I agree with the previous reply's that short 1 or 2 words are a lot more competitive than 3 or 4 words, so we do several combinations to cover all of our bases.

long-tail keywords are easier to rank for.The challenge of broad search terms in any SEO campaigns is the amount of competition you will have trying to target the same term. Using long tail search phrases you will find a lot less competition and you will find a higher conversion rate on the searches that do find you.
If your website has a product or service to offer chances are you can set your website with keywords getting more specific as a searcher clicks deeper into the site. On your home page should contain the most used search terms and the broadest of all the terms brainstormed by you.
    hope help!
