Question for the HIGH AdSense Earners

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by nettech, Aug 11, 2009.

    Hi All,

    I wanted to direct a question at the 'high' AdSense earners. I wanted to know, how long it took you to get where you are, any tips and tricks you could offer for those that are looking to build a strategic long-term income from AdSense. When I say high earners, I'm looking in the region of about $4,000+ per month.

    Unless you are someone who is earning above this amount, please don't reply as I'm just trying to pick the brains of those who have made their online venture a success and also really just trying to see if what we are doing is along the right lines. Most of all, just to act as some encouragement.

    Appreciate all the help and I wish you all every success.

    Took me 3 months to take my latest project to average 220.00 per day and average rising every day.

    1. Choose a high paying niche
    2. Tons of unique content at least 500 words per page
    3. Target each page for specific keyword phrases
    4. Build links from various sources

    No real magic formula to being successful it's more dedication than anything. When I say it took me 3 months this is how I do it....

    Google will sandbox a new website for 1yr I don't care what other people say. I build the website fill it with unique content and let it sit for about 1yr. When 1yr is up I start building backlinks and adding more unique content every day. I then spend about 10hrs per day for approx. 3 months link building using various methods. Once I hit the top 5 slow down on link building and just do maintenance link building.

    Wash - Rinse - Repeat

    I love Digital Point, but let's be honest, do you seriously expect guys earning such amounts to be flocking the Adsense section? I say this, cos the Adsense section is (at this time) a cesspit of fluff with the same-old "how can i earn money money", "what's the best paying niche", "why did I get banned" etc. Your desired audience would probably be found at Webmaster World. I do hope DP gets better, but.. hey ho!!

    To your question, there's no proof that any "Sandbox" exists, but there are certainly some Google filters in place. If you have a new blog then I can't see you escaping such filters for 6/7 months. When you have developed some trust you can dominate rankings through Google, but it helps from day one if you build conistent daily content and relevant links by the day. If you look at the MMO niche, all the guys at the very top have around 25,000 backlinks. I'm sure this is through optimised anchor text from relevant sites. So go after the links, write great content and be patient.

    And as far as I know some of them... It took around 6 months to 1 year to reach the ultimate goal they had set. :)

    Aye. I reckon Webmaster World would be popular as they have official Google Reps posting updates on there quite often. I remember when guys like Darren Rowse, Jim Karter, Joel Comm, ShoeMoney, TheRichJerk etc were all posting here on DP. These guys are raking in thousands, a fair few made their legacy via Adsense of course.:D

    You're right I have no clue what I'm talking about. This is for the typical haters that are bound to come out of the wood work. These screen shots also only represent one website but what do I know.

    What's all that about? The replies were aimed at the OP.

    With that reply though: If you're telling the truth then good on ya, but screenshots don't mean sh7t these days based on the fact that the web is infested with ad screenshot generators, testimonial generators and what not.

    Felt like both those were aimed directly at me which is why I replied. You're correct screen shots can be faked and honestly I don't know why I felt I need to prove anything so I'm taking them down. Anyway the advice I posted is very sound and that is what I do for the most part.

    Was just a general reply to the OP fella. No need for screenshots, your words good enough.

    I'm sure there's a few big Adsense earners on here, was just generalising that many will see the fluff and move swiftly on.:D

    @redgsr - Thanks for your advice, I'm doing pretty much exactly what you're doing, I just wanted to compare with someone to ensure that I'm along the same lines.

    @Ryan - I don't think that this thread was really about 'how to earn money' and isn't really targeted at newbies who want to know how to make money from AdSense. It was really a motivational thread and a thread where other publishers can compare themselves with other successful 'AdSeners' to see if they're on the right track thats all. Thanks for your tip of Webmaster World, I used to visit them but will go back there again.

    I've also noticed that after 6 months, sitres tend to take a completely new twist. They seem to all of a sudden jump rankings, more traffic and increase earnings. Im also working some silly hours per day but it seems to be working.

    So you're saying it takes about a year for it to kick in? If you dont mind me asking, how many sites do you have to earn $220pd? BTW I can't see the screenshots you posted earlier!

    Thanks for all your replies, much appreciated!

    I agree that most of what you read is fluff, however, from the 2nd post, you can guage that the guy certainly knows what he's talking about. He doesnt really need to divulge any information or strategy but has.

    my friend, searching for encouragements is wasting time;
    Use the time to write useful content for your visitors, to provide them with useful resources.

    If you have content, you'll have AdSense ads that pay.

    If you have good quality content you'll have higher cpc ads on your site.

    If you'll have good ranking in searches you'll get a lot of free organic, targeted traffic to your site. This means better CTR and higher overall AdSense Earnings.

    So, instead of wasting time put it to work on your web site or blog. Be inventive, CREATE! People love original content and opinions. The proof is that you are seeking for them here. :)

    Make other people search for your blog or your website. Give them a reason. Write something interesting, focused on a single subject.

    I have earned only cents for a few years because I wasting time just like you. Then it suddenly strike me. I finally realized where I was wrong. When are you going to do the same for you?

    Good things come to people who work hard for them. So work hard and you'll get increased AdSense revenue. You'll get to pick up the fruits of your work. And how good it feels! I know because I did.

    if you have pr2, you most certainly dont have pr2 for all your pages;
    it also depends on the blog position in search results but mainly on the topis of your blog;

    you can try to promote your blog through a social media network

    Thanks for your reply, but you don't know the first thing about me so one should not assume that I've been wasting my time. The point of this thred was for those people who already are working their butts off, already have an established strategy and sites, content and are already earning from AdSense. What I wanted to ask was how long it took them to hit the 'BIG TIME', NOT how to optimise their sites or get started. Assumption is the mother of all f*** ups so you should not think that Im sitting here reading and not doing anything, in fact quite the contrary. I do appreciate what you have written, but the point of this thread was for those that who have ALREADY carried out all the points you mentioned above and how long it took before they saw the fruits of their labour!

    Thanks
    Zaheer
