I submitted about 3 weeks back and have built up some solid backlinks from similar sites ranging from 4/10 to 5/10 Page Ranks and continue building content. Also have added a contest but traffic is not coming since my site is not indexed yet. Got a few daily visits here and there thanks to Adwords and made a few pennies from Adsense. I do want to get the site indexed though. Whether it's page 1 of Google or page 45, I just want to see it in the Google Search Results when I search for my keywords.
did you try to check your backlinks? anyways you can use WebCEO to check your rankings using your primary keywords
Check your backlink here www.backlinkwatch.com You could see list of back links you have. Also if you can these to check your site status Type this in google search bar. site:<sitename> link:<sitename> BTW. Where did u submit the site. Webmasters!!
Try using Google Alerts site:yourdomain.tld this way, once your website gets indexed you will be emailed right away. However, indexing used to be hard and slow in the past but now a day it's a matter of hours if not minutes.. so just make sure you're providing an index worthy quality content and your domain is not banned
it can take some time to get indexed, but it will get indexed eventually. Some sites are faster than others. Try getting a backlink from a site that gets crawled often.
Well I know that blogs get indexed very quickly based on what I've read here. Especially Google's blogs.
I've been working on getting backlinks from some of the bigger sites out there. So far so good. I do realize based on what I've read from Google's terms/conditions that it takes time to get indexed. I just figured based on the accounts of other members on here that it should be almost instantaneous. But I guess it doesn't work for everybody. I think blogs get indexed very quickly. Anyway, no hurry. I'll just work on trying to make a quality site in the meantime.
I went through the 10 step process on GoDaddy's site-visibility features when submitting. Submitted to the biggest search engines and some of the smaller ones.
Did you submit your website in google webmaster tools? Check the number of back links listed there. After all it is a new website and for more traffic you need to wait more
To check your website whether indexed by google, you just need to type site: WebsiteURL However, if you want to check the Google Search Results when you search for the keywords, you can use SERP checker: http://www.allno1.com/google_serp/multi_country_rank_checker.asp
Signing up to google webmaster tools and submiting a sitemap helped me a lot when starting out. have you googled your domain name? you might be indexed but have low rankings. Also directories helped a little bit and submiting articles to digg, mixx etc because they are indexed very fast.
There is one simple way to know when your site get indexed by google- Just click on link named cached (right after the url) in search engine results, indexed information will show in top of the page.
I disagree with you, getting into the Index Server is way different than getting into the Cache Server within Google SE The only way to check is by using the site:domain.tld command
you can see the queries made on site engines that have hits to your website in google webmaster tools or google analytics I prefer google analytics since it has stats on network location, bounce rate etc
Your website will be benefited from the backlinks when Google index it, try Google webmaster tools for better index exposure.
