We are looking for a banner to be designed. $50 to the person with the best design. The banner should be 277 pixels wide x 90 pixels in height (sample image below). 277 x 90 banner: We want the banner to be sleek, professional-looking, attractive yet NOT tacky, must be "music-inspired" & must have a "music feel" about it, somewhat web 2.0-ish and must be really NICE generally. The banner must look well with the following image: Because the image above^ will go right under the banner, like so: Get it? That's how we'll be using the banner. So as you can see, the banner must be music-related, and we want something attractive and professional looking at the same time. Colors? Well you have freedom to use whatever colors you like, but keep in mind that it should look well with the image posted above. They should blend well together if put directly underneath. We want something good-looking. Animation? That's for you to decide whether you want to use animation or not. But if you do, please keep it to a minimum, we don't want anything tacky. Examples for use of animation: equalizer effects, etc. Banner must contain the words: Mp3-Codes.com The words don't necessarily have to fill up the whole banner, like so. It can just take up a small part of it but it's all up to you how you want to design it. Please don't follow this banner, it's ugly, we're just giving you an idea. Here are other possible words you can use (not necessary, but if you want): Free MP3 Downloads, MP3 Music Codes, etc. This contest will end in 72 hours (3 days), and will be monitored frequently. We will be closely monitoring this thread and leaving feedback about each banner submitted to give you more idea as to what we want. & Lastly, make sure we'll love it! Get started!

Hi guys, I am posting feedback in behalf of alexdale since basically I will be the one to choose which banner is best. & I'm going to be quite harsh. =) Not what we are looking for. We were hoping to see something sleek, and professional-looking, but your banner is the absolute opposite of those two words. The first thought that comes to mind when I look at your banner is "Jungle". If you are interested in winning this contest, you would have to provide us with a more professional-looking design than this. I can see you can do it, you just didn't do it yet. I don't like the font, I don't like the hasty "outer glow" of the words. I don't like how they both look crazy. The first one looks really dirty and the second one looks funny. They are both really distracting and REALLY tacky, which is not what we're aiming for. I don't know how you can improve your banner because it kind of shows that your PS skills are very limited, so I don't know what to tell you. We just can't use images like those, it would be very embarrassing to our site. Continued below...
Almost feel like we're being insulted, we're offering $50 and we get entries like this? Sorry, this is not the kind of garbage we're after. Please don't improve, we doubt your skills (if any) is enough to make us change our mind. It looks fine but the bar is there, when we were simply asking for a banner which is 277x90, as shown below: If you can change your entry to NOT including the bar, perhaps I can leave a better feedback than this. Otherwise, it does seem music-inclined. Looks like the image was jocked from deviantart or something but not really our place to accuse, but we like it 45%. Hope you can improve it. You are showing some creativity, and are on the right track.
Yes but I postet with bar on it to see a sample with the bar.. Ive made one without bar And I can make even a new bar with a text reflexion effect from the banner If you like it to..?
The image you show it's 277x70 To understant that the sise of the banner at the end should be 277x90?
Yes, please show us a sample without the bar. Also, it would be better if you could use a different font, perhaps a little bigger than the current one. We really like the creative and attractive colors here, and we just hope you are able to improve the font design further. That's the size of the banner we want. Don't include the bar in your banner, we're only asking for the 277x90 banner, no bars included.

Although this one is definitely MUCH better, I'm still not liking it. I don't really like the font, it seems a little noobish, but it's better coz it makes the letters clearer. However, would you mind using this instead (image below)? Please try adding it at the top-right, as well as show us a copy with it placed at the bottom-right. Will be something like: (Of course, without your original font there) We just want to see how it looks, and with that you'll also see what we're trying to achieve here. (By the way, we'd want the image without the font as well in case you win, just in case we'd want to make further modifications to the banner in the future) & As for your other entries with effects, we don't like it. Too tacky. I like your work. You're definitely not lost, and you work with taste. However, we're looking for something more vibrant, this one looks a bit boring to the average eye. It looks really good, but not as eye-catching and attractive as we want. If you could improve this, perhaps? With colors and more attitude, if you're still in.
I'm not impressed with the font at all, & there's just too many frames it seems to the banner. How many frames are there? We're looking for something that loads really quick, the more optimized the image the better. I do like it about 10%, but that's not enough. Over all, oliv3r is leading in my book, followed by tajio. We are still yet to be impressed, so the contest is still very much wide open to all designers.
