The $45 Re-Invent our Logo Contest! | Open until we find the right design

    Hi All

We are currently seeking a fresh new look & updated logo for our current I.T. online store. As we have very little time to attend to such matters ourselves we have decided to see what you guys and girls at digital point can come up with. We've been impressed with the quality of work displayed in some of these forums.

The company logo can be seen at:
http://test.centrecom dot com.au/catalog (Replace the dot obviously)

    Logo Requirements:

    • Ideally we would like the logo to have a more Web 2.0 look and feel with nice gradients etc. The color scheme however must remain the same or be very similar.
    • We would like the logo to be a little more modern while still keeping the triangular shape. Perhaps something tilted on an angle slightly to become more 3D'ish. The tag line is optional but it would be great if there is room to keep it in your designs.

Entries can be submitted via PM or on this thread. With regards to the final product we will require the psd/vector of the design so we can use the logo elsewhere. A vector based logo would obviously be preferred.

As this is our first contest we will do our best to provide appropriate feedback and suggestions based on your designs etc. We will also try to give a bit of notice once the contest is coming to a close, this may not happen until we find something consistent with what we are looking for.

Once the logo contest is over we may hold another contest for a decent header that works with the new look logo.

Best of luck! Should you have any questions please let me know.

No not really, I guess if it's vector based we can re-size it as needed. The header on the test size gives you a bit of an idea of the size needed though. The text does not need to be quite as big as on the test site though, that's just a place holder image more or less. We're after something where the logo and wording compliment one another.

I'm keen to see what people can come up with :).

    Thanks for the entries guys.

Render: This is exactly the sort of thing we are looking for and it's definitely on the right track. I really like the logo and individually the text isn't too bad either. Together however they don't seem to gel very well. I'm not too sure what advice to give or what you can do or try to make them a little more in sync with one another........if you can come up with something we would love to see it.

Sorbisorbu: If we didn't already have an existing logo this might be an interesting attempt. As it stands however we just need the logo modernized as we already have developed some existing brand awareness with the current logo. Slight deviations in design like Renders is the sort of thing we are hoping to end up with.

Render: I think the changes you have made to the text work better. There is still some dis attachment between the logo and the text. If possible we would like to see variations or creative ideas where the logo and the text are somehow combined. Maybe other angles may work better? Either way please keep a copy of this design as it shows promise.

MohammadHaja: The text you have used is decent but a little typecast in the sense that it's something you may find across a range of technology based websites. We're looking for something a little more unique. The logo is a little too similar to what we are using already. We do appreciate your entry though and feel free to revise.

Render: Thanks but we definitely prefer the earlier design. I'm not sure what more advice I can give at this stage. If I come up with an idea I'll be sure to let you know.

Jamess: We've played around with this type of style a little ourselves and again it's a little too plain and boring for what we are looking for. Again the logo is very different from the text and layout, hoping for something a little more uniform.

I should point out that the text color does not have to be blue, you can certainly take some liberties with the text if it helps to blend the logo with the text.

I know it's not the easiest of logos to work with so I do appreciate the effort you guys are putting in. If you need more advice or suggestion please let me know.

    Danksy.

Jamess: I think this logo is better than the previous attempt and we don't mind it. The problem however is that we don't see this style of logo fitting in with the website and also it's not going to be very practical for other uses or documents etc. For a splash page or something like that it's great...sorry :(

If anyone is still working on this logo please let me know as we are in the process of working with Renderwork for a final result.

We will be closing this thread in the next couple of days unless we hear you are working on another design.

    Thanks.
