Just wondering if anyone ever had luck getting organic traffic on Wallpaper Websites? If so, do you wish to share how? Thanks.
There are about 4,500 wallpapers on one of my sites - do you mean write one for each of them ? Also, if you could explain in a nutshell what all on-page SEO factors you're referring to - it'd be awesome! Thanks mate.
One way might be to write descriptions for a few of them and package the descriptions and wallpaper in PAD file format and submit to download sites like the one in my sig. If the wallpapers are good quality they'll probably get accepted. That way you build links which'll help with SERPs and you might also get referral traffic. I get a good percentage of my traffic through image searches so perhaps short alt tag descriptions might also help bring traffic.
Ya, when I had a wallpapers site I used to write the specific names as well as tag them and so they used to come in the Google searches. I just used a good domain and didn't do anything special and when searched it came in 1st page. - Digital -
You have your keyword in your title 15 times........... That will certainly be viewed as spam and is not going to help any with Google.
Try putting them up within the software directories as well. Something like the 30 minute backlink trick will work.
Thats the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Where do you see the link to my wallpaper site ? Are you really that dumb or is it the part of India you belong to where people act stupid? (P.S. Having lived there for a bit, I know what I'm talking about). Please don't hijack my thread like this. Could you please (maybe) share a few more such sites? Many thanks!
I think your priority should be SEO optimising for Google Image Search rathe than the usual google web search. Make sure you name files correctly, use alt tags, put descriptive text near the image and allow the image to be enlarged. I think these factors will help you in image search. I definitely recommend reading up more though!
it's somthing like funny pictures .. if I wanted to find some wallpapers I would definitely use Google Images. You really need to concentrate on optimising for google images as simstar said.
Alright - thanks sim. I am actually reading up here and there - (just beginning to get hang of things).. Right, thanks sir. True - that.
don't recommended,.. this method can get your copyright, except you have your own picture. keep updating your site with content, I would say 3-5 post/day, make schedule option. cheers
