Like any affiliate marketing sites/network, there are ONLY 10% who are successful...so yes Amazon can make you money only if you knew HOW!

You only get 4-5% of the sale. Generally, you can do better with another program imo.

That's so true. I've made money with Amazon...you have to know how to sell, and where to find people who ant to buy. That's the hard part....do the hard work first....and then success follows. :)

Would that be nice if expert can share how they made it success?
I used to made some using PPC, but no more after amazon discontinue PPC program.
I have to start build up my own site, like astore, a-o-matic and site review.
Anyway, never made big profit like the past. I will admire if someone can share good tricks here.

    thats affiliate marketing!
what you have to do is to write quality articles and suggest the visitor some products that may be usefull on the topic. This is what will make you sales!

unlike amazon.com where the visitor has already setup is mind to buy a product.

you, as an affiliate will suggest him products that is usefull for the niche you are into, and if the visitors likes your articles then there is a probability that he/she will buy your suggest product.

    hope this makes helps

Yeah that I can believe - that you can make money recommending products writing articles on your blog or whatever. But if you dont have a team of bloggers its hard work on your own

During the American 1849 gold rush, the majority of those who got rich were the proprietors of picks, shovels, tents and denim jeans. You can finish the analogy as it applies to Amazon.

Yes, you really can make money with Amazon. Personally, I would push the higher ticket items (i.e., computers, TVs, diamond jewelry, etc.). The high dollar items will bring the commissions a lot quicker than the small ones since the percentages are so small.

Although Amazon commissions are low and their cookie is short, you can definitely earn with them. As other stated its all about your content and how targeted your traffic is. The nice thing about Amazon is it's reputation, some will feel better/safer buying from a well known site like that which can lead to more sales.

You also have to remember the "comfort factor". If someone sees your site or blog, and you refer them to a product on Amazon, they will usually feel very comfortable with that brand.

Comfort = more likely to make a purchase.

I place relevant Amazon products associated with my niche subject. For example, I just updated a page about arbor day and listed several trees that can be purchased on Amazon.

Many of my visitors probably never thought about Amazon as a place to buy trees - so they take a look. And if they don't actually purchase a tree that day, they often buy something else...

You can make money with Amazon but you will work very hard to do it as the commissions are so low. Its like anything else the more time and effort you put into it the more you will get out. Good Luck.

I have found the commissions to be very low for Amazon. Try Commission Junction or Clickbank for better paying affiliates.
