Can I sue my vet if he removed all of my dog's teeth, so now I have to buy very expensive food with no lumps? Can I sue him to claim the difference between the food I used to buy, and the food I buy now?
You could always buy the old food and use a food processor... or put the dog down. A legal question... Did you take your dog to the vet because it was ill? A legal question... Did you ask the vet to help the dog? A legal question... why was the dog sick? A legal question... Is it possible that you didn't feed the dog properly and that's why its teeth had to be removed? ...I would guess you would lose in court and could even be couter-sued for negligence.
You could always buy the old food and use a food processor... or put the dog down. No, he had one tooth that was a bit strange looking. Yes, but he never asked if it was ok to take out every single tooth. No idea No I give him one can of food, mixed in with mixer biscuits each day. I also give him chew sticks and stuff, and these stick things that he eats that clean his teeth. How could I be sued for negligence? I was never negligent, the vet was.
Makes little sense that a dog with a funny looking tooth would need all their teeth pulled... what did the vet say was the issue? You could stop in and see a local attorney. It is likely they will not charge for a quick consult and they will advise you if there is a next step.
Yes that's what I thought, he wont even give a good explanation so the result of one tooth that was a little off or something is my dog now has no teeth, which is limiting, and the new food I buy is literally 3 to 4 times more expensive.
Well if you push that argument to an attorney they will equally make fun of you... the additional cost of dog food isn't likely a worthy claim... The tail doesn't really wag the dog. The inhumane treatment of your dog is the real issue. (if anything)
The dog isn't in pain or anything, it can do everything fine and the teeth were taken out properly under anaesthetic etc. but its just this dog food thats like liquid is very very expensive.
I think that your vet wouldnt do that if there was no proper reason. I think you have missed something on his explanation
He says my dog has an inherent tooth problem, so his teeth are prone to rotting. I knew his teeth weren't great, so I often clean them and give him these teeth cleaning chew sticks. This one tooth was bad, so he was going to remove that then he removed all of them "as a precaution" as he said they may go bad in 1-3 years - he did this without my consent.
You don't make for a good client for any attorney... you need to be extremely specific and you seem to be so vague in your dialog that the meaning changes with each statement so: No you can't sue without a credible story.
