Am I being paranoid?

As I was trying to fix my ads on my site, I accidentally clicked one of my ads...

I really don't want to get banned, and i read the thread about google waiting till you reach 100 to ban you.

Am I being too paranoid, or should i email google?

nothing bad will happen from one click , but better email them

p.s: I clicked accidently on my ads 3 or 4 times , and never got banned. Oh and didn't email them about it

i think it should be okay. there are a lot of webmasters here clicked their own ads once or twice and they are still in adsense until now.
just make sure that you stop clicking your own ads.

It is best if you click to email google anyways just incase. That is what I do when I click on one of my ads by mistake.

I wouldn't worry about it if it's just once. Google generally looks for patterns of invalid clicks, so unless you're doing it repeatedly and deliberately I wouldn't worry.

I click on my ads sometimes because they interest me. I get very strange ads on my site.

Happened that I've clicked my ads a couple of times in the past (months ago) because I wasn't careful, but I was interested in the advertisement. Never emailed Google about that and wasn't banned.

I did recieve a warning once about invalid clicks though, but that was most likely other clicks, I had an insanly high CTR on a page some days before the warning. Since that warning I've been paranoid. I report potential invalid activity every time my CTR or impressions spike or anytime I'm doing a lot of development (and generate unusual amounts of impressions myself).

When an advertisement in my site interest me I just go directly to the target site without clicking the ad. It is much safer :)

If you clicked your add, got paid for it and coz it was long time ago you think your account is safe, think again. Google is like mafia, they never forget.

Once i accidentally clicked on 1 of my own ads while trying out a new script. That click earned me $1.53 :p and i was paranoid enough to email google about it so they could remove that earning$. And guess what... they thank me for my honesty and didnt take away the accident earnings.

    adsense-support(at)google.com

I've just emailed them on Saturday regarding my uncommon high CTR.
